Dvaraka (-puri, Dvaravati)

The eternal abode in which Krishna fully displays the opulence of God. While descended on earth, Krishna resettled the entire population of Mathura in the city of Dvaraka, which He manifested by constructing it on the coast of the western Anarta province.

Satyabhama is the beloved third wife of Hinduism's Lord Krishna, known for her strong will and tantrums. Satyabhama - Marriage. Pradyumna

A son of Krishna in Dvaraka. He appears in Dvaraka and Mathura as the transcendental Cupid, the third of the original quadruple vyuha expansions of the Supreme Lord. He again expands from Lord Narayana in Vaikuntha, in the second quadruple, as the ruler of mind.

Salva

A demon who used a flying city to attack Dvaraka and was killed by Krishna.

One of Krishna’s closest friends, His most confidential adviser in Mathura and Dvaraka.

Krishna (-chandra)

The Supreme Personality of Godhead in His original form, enjoying as a youthful cowherd with His family and friends in Vrindavana and later as a valiant prince in Mathura and Dvaraka.

Rukmini (-devi)

Krishna’s first wife, the mother of Pradyumna, nine other illustrious sons, and one daughter. She is Krishna’s principal queen in Dvaraka.

Kalindi

The river Yamuna, who became one of Krishna’s eight principal queens in Dvaraka.

Jagannatha-ratha

a chariot (ratha) on which the Deity of Jagannatha rides, used in a festival celebrating Krishna’s return to Vrindavana from Dvaraka.

Vasudeva

Krishna’s father in Mathura and Dvaraka. He and his wife Devaki were persecuted by Kamsa for many years before Krishna delivered them by killing Kamsa.

Yadavas (Yadus)

The royal dynasty led by Krishna in Mathura and Dvaraka, descended from the ancient King Yadu, son of Yayati. The dynasty included hundreds of thousands of valiant warriors and princes, all fully devoted to Krishna

Yamuna

The holiest of rivers, flowing through Vraja-bhumi and thus touched by the dust of Krishna’s feet. The Yamuna personified is also known as Kalindi. After Krishna established his capital at Dvaraka, she became one of His eight principal queens.

Sudama Brahmana

A school classmate of Krishna’s who later, being impoverished, visited Krishna in Dvaraka to ask for aid but asked Him for nothing and yet returned home and found his poor hut transformed into a palace.

Mathura (-dhama, -mandala, -puri)

The eternal abode in which Krishna manifests Himself as the Lord of the Yadavas. During His descent to earth, Krishna reclaimed Mathura for the Yadavas by killing Kamsa and installing Ugrasena on the throne. Krishna resided in Mathura for thirty-three years before relocating the Yadavas to Dvaraka.

parijata

An exquisite flower that grows only in the spiritual world and on the heavenly planets. Defeating the opposition of Indra, Krishna brought a parijata tree from Svargaloka for His wife Satyabhama and planted it in her garden in Dvaraka.

Goloka

The eternal abode of the Supreme Lord in His original form of Krishna. It is located above all the other Vaikuntha planets. It has three parts—Vrindavana, Mathura, and Dvaraka.

catur-vyuha

The principal expansions of the Supreme Lord in Vaikuntha. The first four vyuhas  are Vasudeva, Sankarshana, Pradyumna, and Aniruddha. The original Vasudeva and Sankarshana are Krishna and Balarama as They appear in Mathura and Dvaraka, and the original Pradyumna and Aniruddha are Krishna's first son and grandson.
