| | | | | | Dress: Effects
of Evil Eye
The power of
an "Evil Eye" is so bad that it could inflict injury or bad luck by
the look/glance of certain persons. Hence the tamil proverb, "Getting hurt by
a stone is far better that getting hurt by an Evil Eye".
One could
have observed that the stretch of important streets are strewn with pieces of
white pumpkin which is broken open on the streets to wipe away the evil eye on
occasions such as house warming function day, during the construction of a new
house, on the day of opening a new account on the "Saraswathi Puja"
day.

| | | | Dress: Confessions Of A PsychicPsychic Reading
The
Concise Oxford Dictionary defines a psychic as "a person susceptible to
psychic influence," and a clairvoyant as
having a "faculty of perceiving, as if by seeing what's happening or
exists out of sight; exceptional insight."
These terms define the new type of clairvoyant emerging in almost every city,
town or area around the world. No longer does the word "psychic"
bring forth an image of an old woman in a long dress or robe, ribbons streaming
from her hair, shaking a tambourine and saying, "Cross my palm with silver
and I'll tell your fortune," or the guru sitting with legs crossed on a
snow-capped mountain contemplating the meaning of life.

Expanding the Psychic You by Keith Atkinson.

| | | | Dress: The New Psychiatry - Past Life TherapyPast Life Therapy is not for the weakminded or frail-hearted. It
leads a person into the depths of his own psychological makeup, but the return
trip is well worth the cost of the journey, and that cost is almost always a
deflation to the person's ego! After all, who wants to believe they have
committed acts that were harmful to others? Or wants to remember terrible
crimes in which they were a participant, or tortures in which they have been a
victim in one lifetime and perhaps returned to gain revenge in subsequent
lives?

| | | | | Dress: Shanti Alone Can Help Save Shakti
The world over, women continue to suffer community-sponsored injustice, whether they live in a secular or non-secular country. We can know how progressive a community is, by the way it treats its women. Shocked at the condition of Indian women, Swami Vivekananda said that there was no reason to view women as being inferior to men or as obstacles to salvation - contrary to popular misconception, there is no scriptural sanction for oppressing women.

| | | | Dress: Destiny of Souls At the moment of death, our soul
rises out of its host body. If the soul is older and has experience from many
former lives, it knows immediately it has been set free and is going home.
These advanced souls need no one to greet them. However, most souls I work with
are met by guides just outside Earth's astral plane. A young soul, or a child
who has died, may be a little disoriented until someone comes closer to ground
level for them

| | | | Dress: Visions of Lights in MeditationVisions of
Lights in Meditation
Various kinds of lights manifest during meditation
owing to concentration. In the beginning, a bright, white light, the size of a
pin's point will appear in the forehead in Trikuti which corresponds
tentatively to the Ajna Chakra of the astral body. When the eyes are closed,
you will notice different colored lights such as white, yellow, red, smoky,
blue, green, mixed color, flashes like lightning, like fire, burning charcoal,
fire-flies, the moon, the sun and stars. These lights appear in the mental
space, Chidakasha. These are all Tanmatric lights.

| | | | | | Dress: Who Am I?This is a world of diversity. Intellects
are different. Faces are different. Religions are different. Sounds are
different. Faiths are different. Colours are different. Faculties are
different. Tastes and temperaments are different. But one thing is common in
all. Everyone of us wants Nitya Sukha (eternal happiness), infinite knowledge,
immortality, freedom and independence. These things can be obtained by
knowledge of the Self alone.

Yoga" by Sri Swami Sivananda.

PaintingMandala Sand Painting
According to Buddhist
scripture, mandalas (geometric designs symbolic of the universe) constructed
from sand transmit positive energies to the environment and to the people who
view them. They are believed to affect purification and healing. Mandala sand
painting was introduced by the Buddha himself and there are many different
designs of mandala, each with different lessons to teach.

| | | | Dress: Power of LustThere is no hope for you to have
Self-realisation or knowledge of the Self if you are not well established in
Brahmacharya. Brahmacharya is the master-key to open the realms of eternal bliss.
Brahmacharya is the very foundation of Yoga. Just as a house that is built on a
rotten foundation will surely fall down, so also you will fall down from your
meditation if you have laid no proper foundation, viz., the attainment of
perfect Brahmacharya.
From "Easy Steps to
Yoga" by Sri Swami Sivananda.

| | | | Dress: Reach Intellectual Bliss with Samta
The word God combines with the five material elements or tatvas to constitute the body, which is an equipment of action without cause. The inert material elements are imbued with the faculties of feeling, thought and action through the organs of the body. Consequently, assumption of doership, ego and duality arise in this state. This intellect tends to oscillate between sublime consciousness and materialism. This conflict, antar-dhvan , continues till the intellect settles down in a state of reintegration, which is samta in its unmodified source - utter sublime consciousness.

| | | | Dress: Spiritual Labor PainsThe
issues of "suffering" and "life problems" should only be
deliberated with people who are at the moment relatively happy and carefree. We
can then expect some measure of objectivity. It's just too easy to sneer
sardonically when you're depressed and watching some overly cheery, toothy,
five-hundred-dollars-per-workshop, "successful living"
multi-millionaire entrepreneur filling you with platitudes and urging you to
pull up your socks ... (Yeah right, buddy. Up yours, and that goes double for
your "inner child!")

Spiritual Dictionary on Astrological house
Astrological house: Each planet in your birth chart resides in a house. The chart’s houses symbolize different facets of the self. Think of them as the fields of experience upon which you live your life. Each relates to a certain environment and specific relationships. One way to understand the houses is to consider the way you might act or dress if you were being interviewed by a prospective employer, and contrast that with the way you act or dress at home around people who know you on an everyday level. These experiences illustrate the differences between two different houses in your chart.
