The head often symbolize intellect, the rational process as opposed to intuitive thought. Growing a second head, especially out of the right side may indicate you are thinking too much and not letting your instincts operate as they should.

The child may be a symbol of your true self, That which is essentially you and which you are capable of unfolding.
