Feet : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Feet

Feet

Another common dream is to be walking across glass/splinters etc. "Walking on egg-shells" is a phrase that is often used to imply that you are having to be very careful about what you do and say and this is taking a toll on your health. Injury to the feet may show that you need to be careful of the next step.

Finding a New Room in Your House

Opening a door in your ordinary home to discover a whole new room is an uplifting variant of Discovering New Spaces. Some dreamers find incredible treasures they didn't realize existed in the attic of their dream houses.

Dream interpreter: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Children and Dreams - Ability to Fly When Being Chased by Villains

Fly : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Children and Dreams - Ability to Fly When Being Chased by Villains

Ability to Fly When Being Chased by Villains

A common theme among children age six and up is being able to run extremely fast when being chased by bad guys. In the dream, the child sometimes runs so fast and so well that she actually takes off from the ground and begins to fly. The villains give chase, but the child's ability to fly is her safety valve, and she can always outwit the bad guys with this superior power and manage to escape. This tends to be a recurring dream, and it may repeat occasionally, well into young adulthood.

What you need to know:

Children who have this dream usually have a significant challenge that disturbs them. The villains represent the pressure, and the ability to fly represents their own wish to escape, as well as their own sense that they have the intelligence, imagination and power to make their life work out better. Children who have lost a parent, who face economic struggles, who have a sibling that requires special care or who face some challenge that is part of the fabric of daily life seem to have this dream. The good news is that many successful adults report having had this dream during challenging early years. It appears the dream not only denotes the sense of challenge the child faces, but also hints at abilities and intelligence gathering steam to be applied in later years.

Dream interpreter: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Children and Dreams - Ability to Fly or Do Magic

Fly : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Children and Dreams - Ability to Fly or Do Magic

Ability to Fly or Do Magic

These dreams allow the child to perform heroic feats by virtue of her magical powers. She can often fly, perform rescues, travel into other realms and generally know what to do to make matters right.

What you need to know:

These lovely fantasy dreams allow your child to experience success by applying personal powers like imagination, compassion, courage and shrewdness to problem solving. They are wonderful dreams to explore in some detail because in some cases they symbolically allow your child to flex her creative muscles and write her own script. Drawing and coloring scenes from these dreams is one way to learn more about where your child feels confident and strong as well as where she may benefit from encouragement. Plus, having conversations about good dreams opens the door to safely exploring all dreams, both good and bad, without making your child feel interrogated or on the spot.

Dream interpreter: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Fire

Fire : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Fire

Fire

Fire is favorable to the dreamer if he does not get burned. It brings continued prosperity to seamen and voyagers, as well as to those on land.

To dream of seeing your home burning, denotes a loving companion, obedient children, and careful servants.

For a business man to dream that his store is burning, and he is looking on, foretells a great rush in business and profitable results.

To dream that he is fighting fire and does not get burned, denotes that he will be much worked and worried as to the conduct of his business. To see the ruins of his store after a fire, forebodes ill luck. He will be almost ready to give up the effort of amassing a handsome fortune and a brilliant business record as useless, but some unforeseen good fortune will bear him up again.

If you dream of kindling a fire, you may expect many pleasant surprises. You will have distant friends to visit.

To see a large conflagration, denotes to sailors a profitable and safe voyage. To men of literary affairs, advancement and honors; to business people, unlimited success.

Dream interpreter: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Nakedness

Nakedness : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Nakedness

Nakedness

To dream that you are naked, foretells scandal and unwise engagements.

To see others naked, foretells that you will be tempted by designing persons to leave the path of duty. Sickness will be no small factor against your success.

To dream that you suddenly discover your nudity, and are trying to conceal it, denotes that you have sought illicit pleasure contrary to your noblest instincts and are desirous of abandoning those desires.

For a young woman to dream that she admires her nudity, foretells that she will win, but not hold honest men's regard. She will win fortune by her charms. If she thinks herself ill-formed, her reputation will be sullied by scandal. If she dreams of swimming in clear water naked, she will enjoy illicit loves, but nature will revenge herself by sickness, or loss of charms. If she sees naked men swimming in clear water, she will have many admirers. If the water is muddy, a jealous admirer will cause ill-natured gossip about her.

Dream interpreter: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Teeth Falling Out

Teeth Falling Out : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Teeth Falling Out

Teeth Falling Out

Are you going through a period of change in your life? When we are children, we lose our milk teeth as we begin to mature. The ritualising of this is seen in the story of the tooth fairy. Losing milk teeth is a sure sign of growing into our own personality.  Anxiety. Teeth are the strongest visible part of the body and therefore if they crumble, decay or come loose, it can imply that our very foundations seem to be crumbling. It can also be seen as losing your smile. Emphasis on decay may show that you feel something important in your life is "dying".

Teeth falling out : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Teeth falling out

Your teeth falling out

Many people have dreams that they lose all of their teeth. In this dream, they may feel something strange in their mouth and then spit teeth into their hand, eventually losing all of their teeth. According to some, our teeth are related to our sense of power and our ability to communicate. Losing our teeth not only makes us embarrassed by our appearance, which hinders our communications, but it also lessens our power because we may not speak our minds. It's also associated with feelings about our appearance.

Dentures - Teeth falling out

Teeth fall out in dreams all the time, particularly while you're grinding them in your sleep. So a dream in which you're wearing dentures is simply a cry for relaxation. To dream of installing dentures is a strange turn of events, signifying false and perverse motivations. In dream logic, it's perfectly normal to put broken fangs back into your mouth.

Dream interpreter: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Teeth falling out

Teeth falling out : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Teeth falling out

TEETH:

My most popular requests for dream interpretation are by far, dreams about teeth falling out. Apparently this is quite disturbing to people who have this dream...they simply MUST know what it means! In my experience, a dream about one's teeth falling out usually symbolizes that the dreamer is having a challenge getting their voice heard, or feelings acknowledged. This may be referring to their conversations with a particular person such as their significant other, boss, or friend; or can be generalized for people who are shy, to include almost everyone they come in contact with. The dreamer needs to brush up on conversational skills, believe in the value of their own opinion, learn how to be less intimidated by aggressive people, and become more assertive and make their voice heard. Once they do that, this dream (which is a common recurring dream) should evolve & show improvement...or disappear altogether.

Although most people I hear from seem to find the above interpretation of the teeth theme fits their situation, there have been a few who think it's not quite right for them. I received the following email from a savvy visitor who eloquently shared with me what she believes the symbol means for her, and I think it's so good that I want to share it with all of you. Dream symbols must be personalized for each individual person, so general interpretations don't always fit the bill, like I've said repeatedly throughout this site. Please remember this, and remember to interpret your entire dream's context and not just an isolated symbol.

Here is Katie's account of her experience, in her own words:

Your site is great. I noted with interest your interpretation on teeth falling out, which is the same interpretation that many others use as well (needing to be heard etc etc.) I myself had this dream repeatedly and, as you noted, was dying to know what it meant as it was always disturbing. I was always unsatisfied with the "needing to be heard" thing.

You might note that many people who have this dream are feeling worried, dismayed or horrifed as their teeth are falling out painlessly, sometimes even attempting to keep the teeth from falling out.

Finally I came across a different interpretation, which fitted much better, for me, in fact, the dreams lessened. so I thought you might be interested. For me, the dream means I am talking TOO MUCH. It means indiscretion, telling secrets, gossiping unwisely. and its my subconscious warning me. Now, if I have this dream, I know I have been unwise with my big mouth! Trying to cram the teeth back in, or stop them falling out, or trying to find a dentist, is literally trying to stop the words/gossip from coming out, and the feelings of dismay are mirroring the regret of being too revealing - usually to an enemy. I am much more aware of this now (and not such a big mouth!) Maybe you could add this to your interpretations.

- K

Transport : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Transport

Transport

Forms and manner of transport can give you a clue to how you are proceeding along your life path

Cars - Are you driving or is someone else in the driving seat? Are you careering out of control (notice this word contains the word career). What state is the car in. Did the brakes fail? Maybe you need to slow down. Did you crash - maybe you need to look at where you are heading. Are you on a crash-course (which could be read as a crash course of study?.

Missing some mode of transportation. Missing a plane is fairly common, and often means that youÕre feeling like you missed an opportunity. To understand how this relates to your life ask yourself where you are going in the dream and why?

Transport : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Missing the boat or other transport

Missing the boat or other transport

You rush to catch a departing bus, train, airplane or ship, only to have it leave without you. These leave you engulfed in an overwhelming feeling of frustration rather than fear. Garfield suggests that these dreams reflect feelings that you are missing out on something in waking life.

Flip side: Pleasant travel

Very infrequent dreams, but may arise when you feel content about how your life is going.

Teeth

One must, of course, correlate the action and other details of the dream, but as a general guide: false teeth signify unexpected help out of a difficult situation; broken or unusually worn-down teeth are a sign of the deterioration of an important relationship; aching teeth portend family quarrels; a dream of having teeth filled promises good news; having teeth pulled forecasts favorable business or investment opportunities; loose teeth are a warning of untrustworthy friends; if they fell out or you spit them out, it is a sign of a season of financial reverses; decayed teeth mean health problems--see your doctor; even and/or very white and beautiful teeth forecast happiness and prosperity; very long teeth predict legal action; one tooth longer than the others portends sad news; buckteeth augur unexpected travel; bridgework is a suggestion that you should be more meticulous in meeting your obligations; a dream featuring the roots of your teeth is a warning against lending money or gambling; to dream of having a nerve removed predicts a season of good luck; brushing your teeth indicates the clearance of obstacles which have been holding you back, unless one or more bristles get stuck between your teeth, in which case you will still overcome the obstacles but only after continued patient effort; picking your teeth is a warning of false friends in your close circle.

Spirit : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Being menaced by the dead or a spirit

Being menaced by the dead or a spirit

You feel you are being haunted or berated by someone who has died. There may be feelings of terror, guilt, resentment or abandonment. They may occur when you feel guilty or responsible for a death, or anxious about the situation. Although they are quite rare, Garfield says these can be among the most uncomfortable dreams we have.

Flip side: Being guided by the dead or a spirit

These usually occur during active grief, which can last years. Visits from a deceased loved one may give you the feeling that he or she is OK, or inspire you to change your life. There's a feeling of hopefulness and comfort.
