- Venus (Aphrodite)
Venus (Aphrodite) Venus, the planet may be seen rising in the east along with the sun and is known as the Morning Star. It also sets in the west and is the Evening Star. Due to the way this plant travels across the sky, it is often a symbol of death and rebirth. It is associated with the sun and considered to be the sun's messenger and an intermediary between the sun and mankind (between mortal and the impartial). In Greek mythology, Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty and love. The love that she represents is not of the emotional and fruitful kind, but rather lust, sensual pleasure and raw animal attraction. Aphrodite was able to stir sexual feelings in both animals and mankind and often represents the perverse side of human sexuality. She is the goddess of the house of prostitution. Aphrodite may represent our basic sexual nature before it is tamed and humanized by emotions and spirit. In order to understand the symbolism of Venus in a dream, some reflection is required. Are you full of lust and/or has your sexuality been ignored? Aphrodite may be stirring your basic sexual nature. If you are feeling drained by life, the planet Venus may be a representation of the ability to regenerate and begin anew. Seeing Venus in a dream may be a reminder that there is an abundance of internal energy and resources accessible to all that tap into it.

Interpretation - Bed
Bed Dreaming of being in bed may be an indication of a lucid dream event. This means that you are aware of being asleep in a dream state. Somehow, your mind is accepting the limitations of your sleeping condition. However, the bed can also be a place of laziness, sickness, death or sexual encounter. If the bed feels like a symbol for any of these metaphors, the dream may be saying something about how you perceive yourself. Freud would be inclined to see the bed as a womb, as well. Indeed, the covers pulled over the head on a chilly morning can make the bed a utopian haven against a difficult world.

 | | | Dream Interpretation of Dreams - Morning: Dream WorksIn the stillness of the night, when not a sound breaks the hushed silence, they timorously creep into your mind. Fragile, flittering forms—often more real than reality—seek you out from the deepest abyss of your soul and open for you a vista of visions—nonsensical, terrifying, fantastic—and sometimes, just sometimes, hauntingly beautiful. You wake up with a lump in your throat that threatens to cascade down your eyes, a lingering nostalgia for something near, yet eternity away. But weren't you closer to believing, even then, that somewhere, all that you saw was real; that, beyond the tangible truth of ticking time, you had lived one moment of timeless infinity? Perhaps that's the secret. The chance to glimpse beyond. Why else should we take a dream, those phantasms of the chaotic unconscious, so seriously? Read more here: » Meaning of Dreams: Dream Works |

 | | | Dream Interpretation of Dreams - Morning: How to Improve
Dream Recall The main barrier to recall and to lucid dreaming (realizing
during a dream that one is dreaming) is that waking and dreaming memory aren't
connected nearly as well as they could be with greater intention, practice and
focus. Making a consistent effort to remember and record your dreams will help
your waking mind to ally itself more closely with your dream experience. It's
also an excellent way to increase imagination and intuitive capabilities which
are both intimately connected with dreams. This alone should provide strong
incentive.

 | | | Dream Interpretation of Dreams - Morning: How long do dreams last?
Dream FAQ
Dictionary: How long do dreams last?
How long do dreams last? A. REM sleep periods, and therefore dreams, last typically in therange of 5 to 45 minutes (cf. section 6). Often, the subjective timespent in a dream is much longer. One possible explanation for thistime-stretch effect is that dreams are combined from pieces (seepreceding paragraph) that have their own different setting intime. You first dream of something that occurred a year ago, then -following - of something that occurred just recently, mix them up abit and are left with the remembrance of a dream that lasted a year. But experiments suggest that dreamed actions run in "real time" - whatyou do in your dream takes exactly this time to dream. With externalinfluences like the radio running in the morning, you have both thereal time in which you hear something and - sometimes - the feelingthat it lasted considerably longer. Anyway, time is one of theperceptions that are heavily distorted in dreams. Source: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/dreams-faq

 | | | Dream Interpretation of Dreams - Morning: Spirituality, the Psyche, and the Multi-Sensory Person The psyche is a multidimensional aspect of consciousness, most commonly thought of as being composed of the subconscious and superconscious. Thus, to humans, the psyche is considered to be those portions of the self other than the ego. However, our traditional definition of the psyche is limited by our lack of experience in utilizing the psyche as an integral, involved segment of acknowledged experience. This lack of utilization prohibits comprehension of the full range of knowledge and ability native to the psyche.
Elizabeth Jo Bittof is the author of MINDWALK; DIALOGUE WITH THE PSYCHE and MINDSCAPE FACILITATOR. She specializes in counseling and training for development and utilization of the many varied abilities of consciousness. Since a near-death experience in 1983, Elizabeth has devoted her life to exploring the untapped potentials of consciousness biologically available to mankind.
