Dream
Interpretation Dagger
The dagger is a symbol of aggression, physical destruction and emotional/mental power. If you are holding a dagger and point it at somebody in your dream: you are unconsciously aggressive, slow down your pace. If you are wounded by a dagger, you will hear some sad news. Defending yourself with a dagger is a sign that you will be able to resolve current matters and topple your enemy. Being attacked by someone with a dagger: be careful of muggers and people who can harm you physically or mentally.

Dictionary - Weapons
Dream
Interpretation Weapons
Weapons in the dreams more often represent our aggressive feelings of antipathy and hatred and are associated with physical violence. According to Freud's view, every weapon is a phallic symbol, and weapon dreams have a sexual content. it's very true mostly for male dreamers. If a man dreams of attacking a woman with a weapon, his subconscious draws an association between lovemaking and physical assault, because he sees a woman as a pray rather than a companion. If a woman has this dream of being attacked with a weapon, it expresses her sexual insecurity and fear of the male. Dreaming about a sharp weapon like a knife or a dagger is a sign that people around you are ready to fight. Owning a weapon: you want others to be afraid of you and respect you more. Having a damaged weapon means that your attempts to defend yourself are futile.

 | | | Dream Interpretation Dagger: Individual Will No Match for Mad Mobs
In the 60s, a communal riot shook a certain town. I was surprised, for it was a new settlement grown around a huge industry. The population was largely labourers and officials from all over India. There was no tradition of animosity between communities; they were united by a common existential necessity. One winter evening, on a visit to the town, I asked my friends, "Where did so many violent people come from, all of a sudden?"

 | | | Dream Interpretation Dagger: Guru Gobind Singh's Service to Humanity
Guru Gobind Singh was no ordinary mortal. The signs were there right from his birth. In 1666, on the Guru's birth, a pious Muslim fakir, Sayyad Bhikhan Shah, declared: "God has sent a new light on this earth". He then decided to test the newborn 'prince'. Producing two jars of sweets obtained from a Hindu and a Muslim vendor, Bhikhan Shah tried to learn the child's preference from the jar he touched. The baby, however, clutched both jars and smiled, whereupon the fakir acknowledged him to be a master of both communities.

Craft Witchcraft Dictionary on ATHAME
ATHAME: "a-THAY-me" the Witch's traditional magical tool, the consecrated, black-handled dagger. It is never used to cut, but can be used to defend; a personal knife, usually made of steel and is double bladed or edged; with a black handle. Double edged to Symbolize that power works both ways: healing & harming, creation & destruction; light & dark. Both sides necessary & both sides needing to be controlled. The black absorbs power. The owner often engraves magick symbols into the metal. A magickal tool associated with change makes it the symbol of the Element - Fire, and its phallic nature links it to the God. It's direction is the South.

Athame: Ritual dagger used by Neopagan Witches, borrowed by Gerald Gardner from medieval grimoires. Probably was originally “athane.” May be pronounced as “ATH-ah-may” or “ah-THUH-may” (it's all “ah-THAYM” to me).
