Dream Dictionary Trap: Transform Yourself With Mantra Yoga

Chanting mantras inspires the body to heal itself, the mind to become calm and the soul to grow strong. Chanting makes room for divine energies. Mantras are vibrations - they unlock hidden centres and help to dissolve the ego; they help us build invisible tools for shaping a better life. We start discovering resources within.

A young farmer, simple and ego-less, was rearing goats. One day a realised soul in ordinary attire visited him. The poor farmer welcomed him with respect without knowing that he was a great guru. Affectionately, he offered goat milk to the visitor. The guru left after some time. His blessings created a great spiritual armour around the farmer, unbeknownst to him.

Dream Dictionary Trap: Awakening the Crystal Children - Becoming Crystalline

Lee Carroll and Jan Tober are the authors of the Indigo Children books and are wonderful people and personal friends. Lee and I have discussed this point. He and Jan say that the Crystal Children are a sub-set of the Indigo children, whereas the Group says they are markedly different. The word Indigo comes from Nancy Tappe who sees energy fields in a very unusual way. They use this word to talk about all the new children entering the Earth including Star children, Psychic children and more.

Dream Dictionary Trap: Mapless Journeys Beyond the Self

When Boddhidharma, was presented to the emperor of China, the ruler of the Middle Kingdom recounted the many great works of charity he had performed for his people, of the places of worship he had built and the religious ceremonies he had conducted.

“Tell me then”, he asked Boddhidharma, “having done all these good works, what is the merit I have earned for myself?” And the sage replied gruffly: “None whatsoever”. The Emperor was outraged. “Who is it who dares to speak to me in such an impudent manner?” he demanded. And Boddhidharma looked at the Emperor and said, “No one at all”.

This story is central to the teachings of Zen Buddhism that Boddhidharma took with him from India to China.

Dream Dictionary Trap: Relationship as a spiritual pathway

Some people have the idea that if they are really interested in spiritual awakening they should no longer focus on relationships, and yet something keeps bringing them back into relationship. How can relationships be a vehicle for spiritual awakening?

Dream Dictionary Trap: Asking Empowering Questions

Power of Questions

Questions guide us in all that we do. Some questions we ask to ourselves, some to others. We walk into a room and think or ask, "What's going on here?" We hear the telephone ring and wonder, "Who's that?" We see a friend and ask, usually quite automatically, "How are you?" Not every question has a question mark at the end. For example, "I wonder if I'll have trouble falling to sleep tonight." Or, "Let's see if there are any fresh vegetables that look good at the supermarket today." These are examples of rather neutral questions, that is, those that are not empowering or disempowering. They simply guide us in our observations.

Hashish - 'Hard' Hash. Usually between dark and light brown in colour. This hash is often crumbled into tiny pieces to obtain maximum surface area when burning and mixed with tobacco. This mix can be rolled up into a cigarette with rolling papers (what is known as a 'joint' or 'spliff'). Dream Dictionary Trap: Realizing the concept of death

Everyday, we hear of deaths. We hear of people contracting diseases and dying. We hear of earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, floods etc. in which people die. But do we ever think or realize that we might be the victims of death one day? Probably not.

It comes as a great shock when you first realize that. People realize this when they become old and after they have wasted away their youth thinking that death is still far away from us. The point is to realize this as early as possible. A person, who has realized this, starts valuing time. He keeps himself involved in some work or the other and becomes a big success in life.

Dream Dictionary Trap: Hinduism and Yoga

Hinduism and Yoga

Yoga means union. Yoga aims to bring this union through the integration of various components of the body and mind into one harmonious whole and in the next stage through the union of the individual self with the Higher Self. Yoga unites a disorganized body and mind into one performing whole leading to the opening of energy channels and flowering of his consciousness.

Dream Dictionary Trap: Encyclopedia II - Deforestation - Effects of deforestation

Deforestation alters the hydrologic cycle, potentially increasing or decreasing the amount of water in the soil and groundwater and the moisture in the atmosphere. Forests support considerable biodiversity. Forests are valuable habitat for wild mushrooms and medicinal conservation and the recharge of aquifers; on the other hand recent studies that show that planting of new trees can sometimes lower water tables and drain rivers [1], and a long term study (for one subcontinent) suggest the net water managament effect of deforestation in the 2 ...

Dream Dictionary Trap: Encyclopedia II - Doctor Doom - Appearances in other media

Doctor Doom has appeared in several video games. He was the final boss in the 1989 computer game "Spider-Man and Captain America in Doctor Doom's Revenge" and in Sega's 1991 Spider-Man arcade game. Later, he was featured as a boss character in the Capcom fighting game, "Marvel Super-Heroes," who only became playable after the game was beaten once and a code was entered. He returned as a selectable character in "Marvel vs. Capcom 2". He is particularly notorious for the so-called "Strider/Doom trap" in the latter game. Dream Dictionary Trap: Encyclopedia II - Bob Geldof - Early career

Geldof was educated at Blackrock College near Dublin, a school whose staunch Catholic nationalist ethos he disliked. He started as a music journalist in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for the weekly Georgia Straight publication before coming to fame in the mid-1970s as leader of the Boomtown Rats, a rock group closely linked with the punk movement. [1] In 1978, they had their first Number 1 single with "Rat Trap", which was the first New Wave chart-topper in the UK. A follow-up, "I Don't Like Mondays", was equally successful and also co ...

Dream Dictionary Trap: Encyclopedia II - Peter Griffin - Health

Physically, Peter is in very good health (despite being overweight and accident-prone), although it has been suggested that both he and Lois may have contracted one or more STDs. A lump in his chest turned out to be a fatty corpuscle, not cancer. However, he does occasionally suffer from incontinence at socially awkward moments and premature ejaculation with his wife. Peter's fertility was lowered (perhaps only temporarily) when Stewie went in a microscopic ship into Peter's body and destroyed several of Peter's sperm (in the episode "Emissi ...

Dream Dictionary Trap: Encyclopedia II - Fine-tuned universe - Known physical constants and possible examples of fine tuning

(Sources for this section: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]) The nuclear strong force holds together the particles in the nucleus of an atom. If the strong nuclear force were slightly weaker, by as little as 2%, multi-proton nuclei would not hold together and hydrogen would be the only element in the universe. If the strong force were slightly stronger, by as little as 1%, hydrogen would be rare in the universe and elements heavier than iron (elements resulting from fusion during the explosion of supernovae) would also be rare. Dream Dictionary Trap: Encyclopedia II - Freighthopping - Riding methods

Freighthopping is a unique way to travel and can often introduce one to a part of one's country that he or she has not seen before. The free ride and open air can be exhilarating, but one must be mindful of the risks. Olden-day methods of hitching a ride on a freight train included "riding the rods" (riding underneath a freight car on the car's structural rods), "riding the deck" (riding on top of a railroad car), and riding inside an open boxcar, an empty gondola car, or an unoccupied caboose. Riding the rods or riding the deck was v ...
