 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: The
Living Tradition of Sahaj MargSahaja Yoga: The Living Tradition of Sahaj Marg
The Raja Yoga system
known as "Sahaj Marg" is still relatively obscure in the West, even
among Yoga aficionados. This is largely due to the fact that Sahaj Marg has
been a low-key, word-of-mouth practice. Works by the lineage of Sahaj Marg
Masters, published under the auspices of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM),
are difficult to locate, and beyond the abhyasis or practitioners of
Sahaj Marg, few are aware that SRCM centers have been established worldwide
since the Mission was founded in India fifty years ago.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: The
Secret of AgniThe Secret of Agni (Agni Rahasya):
In ancient Vedic thought, the
individual soul was symbolized by fire. Our inner soul, hidden like a secret
flame deep within our hearts, abides inextinguishable throughout all our states
of consciousness of waking, dream and deep sleep. It endures as the witness
through our every birth and death, through all the many sojourns in the various
worlds and planes of existence of our soulŐs vast manifestation.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: For the Love of KarmaRelationship karma operates in all our
relationships and starts in each life with childhood family interactions.
Relationships are where we learn fundamental lessons in life through contact
with karmic connections and soulmates. Karmic connections or soul groups are
people we feel instantly familiar with. We have a sense of connection stemming
from a previous life or lives either in a positive or negative setting.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: Don't Rock Your Boat On the Sea of Life
Followers of Advaita philosophy say that the soul and the Divine are one. But, when a soul takes birth encased in a physical body, its new physical identity after birth and the process of socialisation overtake and even obliterate the memory of its connection with the Divine. As the external identity strengthens with a first name, family name, religion, caste, and the "mine and thine" tendency, the ego strengthens and the world and everything in it begin to appear real.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: The Zoroastrian Way Of Seeking Solace
We live in tumultuous times. Our miseries seem never-ending. Calamities, both natural and human-made, visit us with uncanny regularity. Faced with these misfortunes, some of us feel betrayed by God. Does He not see the pain we are going through? Why does He allow so much evil to flourish on this Earth? Many people turn to the scriptures for answers. The Zoroastrian religion has a positive and proactive outlook towards human suffering. One of the foremost exponents of Zoroastrian philosophy was the sage Dastur Adurbad Mahrespand. He was the prime minister and pontiff in the court of the Sassanian King Shahpur II, who reigned in Persia during the fourth century AD.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: Reinterpreting Vaastu In
India we must be grateful that the core beliefs, theoretical rigour and
application of the Vaastu Shastras are still
available, though in a depleted form. From the study of texts, dialogues with
practitioners and field application of the concepts I have been able to
reconstruct the overview of the Vaastu Shilpa Shastras and
give a guideline for present day application. There is a great deal of
resistance and deep feelings of distrust from the trained designers in the
'modern institutesŐ toward the assumptions and symbolism of the traditional
paradigm. It is almost as if they feel threatened that their hegemony would be
displaced. Are their fears valid? Is the basis of the Vaastu Shastras questionable
in its present day application? Is it a meaningless mumbo jumbo in the
'scientificŐ climate of today?

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: The New Psychiatry - Past Life TherapyPast Life Therapy is not for the weakminded or frail-hearted. It
leads a person into the depths of his own psychological makeup, but the return
trip is well worth the cost of the journey, and that cost is almost always a
deflation to the person's ego! After all, who wants to believe they have
committed acts that were harmful to others? Or wants to remember terrible
crimes in which they were a participant, or tortures in which they have been a
victim in one lifetime and perhaps returned to gain revenge in subsequent
lives?

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: Life Is Too Precious To Be Squandered
From the Torah down to every other holy book, a way of life has been prescribed - not just a way of life, but the way of life, for, ultimately, there is only one way. But not everyone prays every day. I would really like to know, how many adults even thank the elements - Earth, Water, Air, Fire - or the Provider?

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: Forgive And Inhale the Fragrance of Flowers
To forgive is not to forget. Forgetting is not hard. All you need is a bad memory or to treat the incident as insignificant. But to forgive is to make a new beginning, to start all over again with the person who caused you pain. It does not take away the hurt nor does it erase the past injury. It merely ceases to obstruct the path of a new beginning. To forgive you don't have to aggravate the guilt and squeeze the soul of the person. By forgiving you can walk together into the future.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: Finality of Death Is a Myth
In literature, art and cinema, death has been almost always depicted as a terrible thing, the final end, although in reality it is merely a release from the burden of the physical body. Every religious tradition recognises that to reach the final truth, one must pass through death. This is the meaning behind Aanea's descent to the underworld in Virgil, of Dante's descent into hell in the Divine Comedy and the Christian baptism: “You were baptised into the death of Christ”.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Tragedy: Haunting Images Of Innocence Lost
Gujarat today abounds in the victims of a demonic religiosity. Among them, two faces from a camp in Godhra refuse to fade out of our memory. The first is that of a four-year-old boy, Abdul (name changed), who had seen his siblings as well as parents being butchered. Drawn to him instinctively, we wanted to be with him and, if possible, listen to him. Abdul would not speak. "The boy has lost his speech", explained an elderly woman who stood near him. The sight of the unspeakable has robbed Abdul of the ability to speak.
