Any Fool Can Criticize, and Most Fools DoMany
of us almost daily stab the ones we love. We use invisible knives that do not
draw blood. The weapon of choice is CRITICISM.
The harm we do is just as vile as that produced by a real knife. Our criticism
tears down others' self-esteem. They feel unloved and experience self-doubt.
Before their wounds have time to heal, we stab them again and again in the same
place. How can we be so cruel? Perhaps we are deceived because our weapon and
the victim's wounds are invisible. Why are we so vicious? Because of our own
insecurities. How can we improve?

| | | | | | | | Dream Dictionary the word: Unburden Yourself With Laughter
Gautama Buddha made a profound statement: "Be a light unto yourself". To this, Osho adds another: "Be a joke unto yourself". Osho would say: "I have to tell jokes because you are all religious people, you tend to be serious. I have to tickle you sometimes so that you forget your religiousness, your philosophies, theories, systems, and you fall down to earth". Osho has seen that in spontaneous laughter the noise of the mind stops for a few precious moments, allowing us to experience mindlessness or meditation, however fleetingly.

| | | | | | Dream Dictionary the word: Be Aware of Thought, Word and Action
We acquire knowledge, but we lack awareness. Awareness arises when knowledge accompanies action. Mere acquisition of knowledge does not mean that such knowledge will translate into action. For instance, most of us know that if you smoke cigarettes, you are susceptible to cancer. Cigarette smokers see the statutory warning imprinted on the cigarette packs: ''Smoking is injurious to health’’. Nevertheless, they continue to smoke. But if one day, the smoker does begin to suffer from ill-health on account of his smoking, then, the knowledge turns into awareness - through direct experience - that smoking could indeed be injurious to health.

| | | | | | | Dream Dictionary the word: The Meaning of HinduHinduism: The Meaning of Hindu
The word Hindu is not a religious word. It is secular in origin. It
is derived from the word Sindhu, which is the name of a major river that flows
in the northwestern region of the Indian subcontinent. The ancient Greeks and
Armenians used to refer the people living beyond the river Sindhu as Hindus and
gradually the name struck. When the Muslims came to the sub continent they
called the people living in the region as Hindustanis to distinguish them from
the foreign Muslims. Subsequently when the British established their rule, they
started calling the local religions collectively under the name of
Hinduism.

The Proto-Indo-European word deiwos for god, originally an adjective meaning "celestial" or "bright, shining" has retained this meaning in many related Indo-European languages and cultures (Sanskrit deva, Latin deus, German Tiw), but also provided another other comm ...
