Adoption

Being adopted yourself

 Adoption themes in dreams often occur at significant points of transition or crisis in life.  Obviously, the gender of the dreamer has much to say about this dream. Clinical evidence shows that men and women share equal responsibility for infertility disorders. Urination

Elimination of body waste is a task that we often prefer not to share with others. We either feel that our privacy is being invaded, or that another is forcing themselves on us. This often reflects not only the base nature of the act, but also the genital exposure that accompanies it.

A 25-year-old student reports dreaming: I am sitting in my flat. One of my instructors enters and urinates in my kitchen. He makes it a point to expose himself to me prior to leaving. Not surprisingly, this student felt as though the instructor violated not just his free time, but also his person.

Upon further questioning, the student revealed feelings of underlying aggression, as well. The student feared the teacher could wilfully affront the student for little cause, simply by "pissing on" a term paper with an unwarranted "D" grade, for example. The message of the dream seems to include a sense that the student felt powerless to prevent the intrusion.

Underwater
