The best form of visualisation is when you try and affirm your oneness with the Divine Spirit. Sit, relaxed and comfortable, in a chair with your spine straight, or on a mattress in the meditative/cross-legged posture. Focus your gaze on the area of the third eye in between your eyebrows. This in yogic terms is the seat of concentration and will power. Fill your heart and your mind with the joy of God or any other happy feeling that you are able to relate with. Know yourself to be a being of light. Forget the heaviness of the body. See yourself surrounded by this ball of light. It is immersing you in its warmth and permeates you into the space around. This light is the presence and consciousness of God.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: Why Small Things Can Shatter Happiness
Who doesn't want to be happy? We all desire happiness. We pursue pleasures systematically through life - it comes as naturally to us as the sunflower turns to the sun. But, pleasure once obtained does not last; so once again, the search begins. Moreover, pleasure is ephemeral; it eludes the seeker at the final moment. One may work very hard and get all that the world considers necessary for a happy life, yet none of these things can make us really happy.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: Dealing With AngerYou
have, we all have, a place of Peace within us, whose waters are never shut
down. Go there. Borrow from it. Refuse to cave; refuse to slide into blind
reaction. Whatever it is that is stirring you up will eventually get tired of
no payoff and leave you alone. No kidding.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: How We Learn An Age-Old Lesson
Once while visiting an old age home, a resident asked me to join her for an evening cup of tea. While making tea, she looked at me closely and asked: "Aren't you Tina Munim?" When I nodded my head in the affirmative, her face lit up. The joy and elation I saw in her eyes moved me and changed my perception of the elderly. Now, I regularly visit homes for the aged; those are my special moments. My elderly friends tell me stories, and I tell them mine, and we share tales of life's little joys and sorrows. To them, I am not Tina Munim or Tina Ambani. I am just another human being who wants to be a part of their life..

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: Finality of Death Is a Myth
In literature, art and cinema, death has been almost always depicted as a terrible thing, the final end, although in reality it is merely a release from the burden of the physical body. Every religious tradition recognises that to reach the final truth, one must pass through death. This is the meaning behind Aanea's descent to the underworld in Virgil, of Dante's descent into hell in the Divine Comedy and the Christian baptism: “You were baptised into the death of Christ”.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: The
chakras and channels of energyChakra
- Chakras: The
chakras and channels of energy
Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory
organs that interprets the outside physical world. At the same time, within us
resides a subtle system of channels (nadis) and centers of energy
(chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and
spiritual being.
Each of the seven chakras has several spiritual qualities. These
qualities are intact within us, and even though they might not always be
manifest, they can never be destroyed. When the Kundalini is awakened, these
qualities start manifesting spontaneously and express themselves in our life.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: Bless Outside For Happiness Inside
"May all beings be happy" is a beautiful blessing that SN Goenka, a great teacher of the Buddhist Vipassana meditation, expresses throughout his teachings. This prayer was originally sung by the ancient spiritual masters of India and is still sung around the world even today. In the moments of singing or saying these words in a spiritual context, they seem so full of meaning for us, and our hearts truly wish for happiness for all beings. But then, as we engage in the everyday world of work, it's not so easy to maintain the spirit of this blessing for all people. It's all too easy to become agitated and impatient, and to have negative rather than positive thoughts towards others.

| | | | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: Staying in the light
White light is the mind's symbol of all things great and creative. Light is the source of life, it creates life and maintains life. White light is a symbolic interpretation of God and love. It also represents purity and healing. It is believed that imagining white light within us, radiating out from us, and being connected to us, will instruct the mind to be aligned with love, life, healing and creation. By being still and visualising white light, we are able to activate our own emotions to generate love and lightness. This again gets back to what we think and feel. Which in turn attracts us to that, which is compatible or similar.

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: Encyclopedia II - Cheetah - Cheetahs in art and literature
The Caress (1896), by the Belgian symbolist painter Fernand Khnopff (1858-1921), is a representation of the myth of Oedipus and the Sphinx and portrays a creature with a woman's head and a cheetah's body (often misidentified as a leopard's).
André Mercier's Our Friend Yambo (1961) is a curious biography of a cheetah adopted by a French couple and brought to live in Paris. It is seen as a French answer to Born Free (1960), whose author, Joy Adamson, produced a cheeta ...

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: How I found the holy in the holidaysHow
I found the holy in the holidays
Merry Christmas. The very words used to
make me want to run and hide.
All my life, the
holiday season has been a time of wishing for something I never got-and what it
seemed like everyone else around me had. Suffice it to say mine was not an
Ozzie and Harriet childhood. As an adult, I grew resentful about the holidays.
I couldnt stand pretending I liked Christmas when it was just a reminder to me
of the happy family I never had.

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Joy: Give Peace a Chance - Don't Go to War
Wars happen when intolerance reaches epic proportions, when the reasons for war become greater than the sanctity of peace. Wars happen when we fail to realise the value of being alive. World leaders try to bring peace, but it is not an issue of institutions. It is human beings who start wars. Before a war begins outside, it starts inside. The war on the inside is more dangerous because it is a fire that may never be put out. Wars are being fought because peace is not being found within, because it is not being allowed to unfold.
