Interpretation - Hats
Hats Hats as noteworthy objects in dreams are not too common. A hat can be seen as an extension of power and influence in the dream. Removal of the hat by another person can be taken as an invitation to confrontation. Giving a hat to another may be considered a romantic wish-fulfilment projection. Also, the presence of a hat may be related to a dream of perceived balding. In some cases, the hat is simply a reminder of another event, such as a sporting event involving a professional team, or an activity like skiing or fishing.

Interpretation - Ocean
Ocean All life originated in the ocean. Especially in Jungian interpretation, this is a place of creativity, fertility, and birth. There is also a lingering sense humans have of rising up out of the collective origins of life in the oceans. It is easy to see the Darwinian influence of these ideas. More importantly, it is easy to see the lack of connection some dreamers could have with this approach to dream interpretation. Given the widespread popularity of boating, scuba diving, and cruise holidays, numerous people have experiences with the ocean that were not available in the past. It may be that the dreamer has one of these connections to the ocean, rather than a general perception of fertility. For some, the ocean can impart a sense of fear and foreboding, especially if they can't swim. Its ultimate vastness, coupled with their lack of swimming ability, can appear in a dream as a reflection of some insurmountable struggle they may be having in waking life.

Interpretation - Faeces
Faeces It was observed in an Internet chat room once that `No matter what goes wrong with your children later in life, someone, somewhere, will blame it on potty training.? In fact, that approach to psychotherapy is one of Freud?s most lasting contributions (after penis envy). For many people, the faeces have been a portent of good fortune or wealth. This may include the actual conveyance of wealth or the desire for such a find. In either case, the interpretation reverts back to Freud?s own feelings that the faeces were perceived by the infant as being something they created and therefore something valuable. The true surprise would be if an adult person awoke from a faeces dream feeling particularly at ease with a sense of well-being. The origin of the faeces and means of discovery are both important issues to discern in the meaning of the dream. For example, if the faeces comes into the dream through direct biological means, the person who is responsible for it and your interaction with it (visual only, cleaning up, etc.) may say much about your relationship with the other characters. If it is simply discovered, or known about without actual visual participation in the dream, then the possibility that another?s influence is upon you is troubling. At this point, it is conceivable that the dream could relate to money if your influence is far-reaching, or if others are odorously impinging upon you.

Dictionary - Uniform
Dream
Interpretation Uniform
A uniform stands for influence and power. Seeing yourself and other people in uniform is a warning that you should not judge by appearances, but by people's deeds. Also it means that you need to be less arrogant and shallow. In a man's dream a uniform denotes a lack of order and feelings of being uncomfortable in a chaotic situation.

- Ugliness
Ugliness In dreams, your body image can be a topic of concern personally or among the other dream characters. Only occasionally do these concerns accurately reflect actual physical attributes. More often, dreams of this nature may indicate paranoia about what others think of you. The central interpretive question is whether you pronounce yourself ugly or whether others impose it on you. Is your feeling of physical inadequacy due to a change in your waking life, such as being pregnant? Other changes that may influence your body image include a shift in physical or moral behaviour, such as smoking, drinking, using drugs, becoming sexually active, or participating in sexual experiences you once considered taboo. This dream is worth serious consideration as how we feel about our bodies is often a significant part of how we feel about ourselves overall as a person. If you are having recurring dreams of personal ugliness, then counselling for self-esteem or eating disorders may be worth considering.

- Wild Animals
Wild Animals Wild animals may reflect an area of our lives that is out of control. Many animals have stereotypical meanings that can tell more of their presence. Think of what the wild animal means to you in waking life to understand the reason for its presence in your dream. Wild animals that are domesticated in dreams may not be animal dreams, but rather dreams of interpersonal success or self-discipline. Often, making peace with animals is a sign of harmony in our lives and hope for smooth interpersonal relationships. Is a wild animal posing a threat to you in the dream or do you have it under your influence?

 | | | Dream Dictionary Influence: Reflections on the Dream Traditions of IslamMeaning of Dreams in Islam
Few Western dream researchers have any familiarity with the rich dream traditions of Islam. The Muslim faith first emerged in seventh
century B.C.E. Arabia as a profound revisioning of early Jewish and Christian
beliefs and practices. One theme the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) drew from the
scriptures of those two religions was a reverence for dreaming. In the Quran,
as in the Jewish Torah and the Christian New Testament, dreams serve as a vital
medium by which God communicates with humans. Dreams offer divine guidance and
comfort, warn people of impending danger, and offer prophetic glimpses of the
future. Although the three religions drastically differ on many other topics,
they find substantial agreement on this particular point: dreaming is a
valuable source of wisdom, understanding, and inspiration. Indeed, as I will
propose in this brief essay, Islam has historically shown greater interest in
dreams than either of the other two traditions, and has done more to weave
dreaming into the daily lives of its members. From the first revelatory visions
of Muhammed to the myriad dream practices of present-day Muslims, Islam has developed and sustained a complex, multifaceted tradition of
active engagement with the dreaming imagination.

 | | | Dream Dictionary Influence: Dream WorksIn the stillness of the night, when not a sound breaks the hushed silence, they timorously creep into your mind. Fragile, flittering forms—often more real than reality—seek you out from the deepest abyss of your soul and open for you a vista of visions—nonsensical, terrifying, fantastic—and sometimes, just sometimes, hauntingly beautiful. You wake up with a lump in your throat that threatens to cascade down your eyes, a lingering nostalgia for something near, yet eternity away. But weren't you closer to believing, even then, that somewhere, all that you saw was real; that, beyond the tangible truth of ticking time, you had lived one moment of timeless infinity? Perhaps that's the secret. The chance to glimpse beyond. Why else should we take a dream, those phantasms of the chaotic unconscious, so seriously? Read more here: » Meaning of Dreams: Dream Works |
