Love is the essence of religion too, for it is religion (not organised religion) that teaches ethics and compassion. The story goes that once the Devil and his close friend went for a walk. The devil picked up something from the ground and put it in his pocket. When he was asked by his friend what he had picked up, he said: "I have picked up the Truth". The friend said: "If you picked up the Truth, then your time is up because Truth is the opposite of what you symbolise". The devil smiled and said, "Don't worry my friend, I will organise it". You know what I mean?

| | | | | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Celebrate The Spirit Of Life With Jesus - about Christmas
Jesus came into the world to unveil the essence and scope of humanity. French philosopher Pascal said, it is through Jesus of Nazareth that we learn who we truly are, and what birth and death really mean. The genius of humanity is revealed fully in Jesus; that's why he stands at the centre of human history. However, with most people focusing more on the events surrounding his birth, the essence of Christmas itself tends to get lost.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: A Salubrious Stage For Krishna - Vraja Vrindavan
The sage, Narad, visiting Krishna in Dwaraka, was surprised to find that his Lord’s favourite pastime was to hear the story of Vraja-Vrindavan , its people and His own activities there. It is a story set in a particular time and space - however, its nature cannot be bound by time and space. The beauty of Vrindavan lies in it being both the seed and the fullest manifestation of the tree contained in that seed. The theme of all the stories of this lila is only one, and that is prem , love.

Throws Up A Million SavioursHardship Throws Up A Million
Saviours
When we run for cover as the sky opens up and the rain
comes thundering down to the accompaniment of a million kettle-drums; when in
the middle of the night, our bed dances across the floor of our room in the
arms of a mighty earthquake, we exclaim: "Please, God, help me out of
this!" - no matter in what language we've muttered the words, no matter
what age we are living in, or where. Then there is one God, the protector of
all humanity.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Universal Faith for World Harmony
Vision is the ability to see beyond the present; to be able to chart a map of the future. Is such a vision possible for a universal religion? When all technologies and knowledge in the world are converging, why should humanity have different religions? One basic question has haunted us for long: Are the many religions of the world opposed to each other? If their common goal is universal welfare, why do we need so many religions? All religions echo the need for righteous conduct, truth and non-violence. But they differ in their rituals, which are unfortunately being projected today as their core. Dress, mode of worship and language of rituals have come to symbolise purity of faith.

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Introduction to BuddhismIntroduction to Buddhism.
Buddhism
is a spiritual tradition that focuses on personal spiritual development and the
attainment of a deep insight into the true nature of life. This makes Buddhism
different from many other faiths for it is not centred on the relationship
between humanity and God. Buddhism doesn't fit the pattern of other faiths and
needs to be seen in its own terms to be understood properly. Buddhists do not
believe in a personal creator God. It does not have the concept of a Saviour,
nor of Heaven and Hell in the popular sense. Buddhism doesn't demand blind
faith or belief, and says that people should test its teachings against
personal experience.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Rooting for Ahimsa In Troubled Times
Now more than ever, we require those qualities that Mahatma Gandhi so remarkably embodied - qualities which are crystallised in the philosophy of ahimsa or non-violence that he bequeathed to us: Optimism, activism, love for people, and a holistic, embracing vision. "I remain an optimist," he said, "not because I give evidence that right is going to prosper, but because of my unflinching faith that right must prosper in the end." For Gandhi, at the deepest level of the human spirit, non-violence is never defeated. Violence, in contrast, inevitably ends in defeat.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: A message to the world from the Mayan Elders about the coming Venus Transit A message about the forthcoming Venus Transit from the Mayan Elders thru Carlos Barrios, a Mayan Ajq'ij that has been given the mission by his elders to begin sharing the prophecies and teachings of the Mayan peoples with the rest of the world.
“Now that we are at the gates of a New Path of Venus over the Face of the Sun
on June 7-8 2004, the least we can do is expecting a new change in the outcome
of humanity. Death is knocking at our doors. The drums of war can be heard. Intransigence, the destruction of our Mother Earth, pollution, new diseases, the resurging of old plagues, global warming, the fear of world conflict, intolerance and fundamentalism in any of its manifestations, negligence, apathy, the confusion or worst still the extreme estrangement of drug abuse. --- While reason and logic tell us that we have to stop all this madness, we are living in the age of prophecies, and the responsibility of balancing things is ours. There
is no more time to play; it is know time to act. --- The great guardian brings the energy of a new beginning, the beginning of a new era.”
It sounds like a pessimistic prophecy but can be compared to what the Indian Avatar Sri Kalkis view. Kalki says that the Venus Transit of June 2004 is the start of the Golden Age, but he is also saying:
“Humanity is entering the most crucial phase of its existence. The coming decade shall witness the most unprecedented and undreamt of changes in the course of its long evolution. There is nothing much humanity could do about it, other than to understand the changes occurring around it and to flow with the changes that are overpowering it. Towards the end, humanity would enter a new age, The Golden Age. The transition will be a painful process. Only those whose relationships are in order would make it easily.”

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Politics of Memory - Reliving the Pain
Godhra is a major electoral issue as Gujarat goes to the polls. The likes of Gujarat’s politicians could not have occasioned Basile’s remark: ''Memory is the cabinet of the imagination, the treasury of reason, the registry of conscience, and, the council chamber of thought.’’ This is not so when memory is used to imagine annihilation, reason for carnages, exhort those in majority to shun their conscience, and banish civilised thoughts of religious coexistence.

without direction or, you can drive steadily to the temple and derive
long-lasting happiness. The decision is yours. So are the effects. You are the
master of your destiny. You may choose to amass wealth and use it for inferior
means of consumption or decide to use your resources to serve humanity and

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Encyclopedia II - Sacrifice - Sacrifice in ChristianityThe concept of self-sacrifice and martyrs are central to Christianity. In Christian teaching, God became incarnate in Jesus Christ to accomplish the reconciliation of God and humanity, which had separated itself from God through sin (see the concept of original sin). God's perfect justice required atonement for sin from humanity if human beings were to be saved from damnation, but God knew limited human beings could not make sufficient atonement, for humanity's offence to God was infinite. So God, in his perfect mercy, himself became a man s ...

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Bhagavata Purana's Eternal Krishna
The Bhagavata Purana and other works tell us stories of how the divine is always trying to break away from its divine fetters. When you are pervasive and omnipresent, how can you have the freedom to play? Being omnipresent, you are constantly watched by those who adore you, worship you and serve you. You need a disguise.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: Three Principles to Unite the World
During the mid-19th century, Baha'u'llah proclaimed three cardinal principles: The oneness of mankind, oneness of God and oneness of religion. He provided the blueprint for a New World Order which would help reduce h uman suffering. Baha'u'llah revealed: "The All-Knowing Physician hath His finger on the pulse of mankind. He perceiveth the disease, and prescribeth, in His unerring wisdom, the remedy." The entire focus of Baha'u'llah's revelation is the well-being of humanity, mitigation of man's suffering in this world and the progress of his soul both in this world and in the world to come.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Humanity: The Kindly Stranger To Your Rescue
I believe in kindness. Well, you may retort, who doesn't? But I believe in it rather as religious people believe in God. I think it is the answer to almost all our problems: from the miseries of divorce to nuclear proliferation. If humanity learnt to gauge its every action by the simple criterion of kindness - always to ask if it is, on balance, the kindest thing to do? - the world would be much happier... kindness offers us an uncomplicated morality, liberated from every species of mumbo- jumbo, the spells of witch doctors or the theology of professors.
