HinduismA Hierarchy of Gods Guide Hinduism
A unique and all-encompassing
characteristic of Hinduism is that one devotee may be worshipping Ganesha while
a friend worships Siva or Vishnu or Kali, yet both honor the other's choice and
feel no sense of conflict. The Hindu religion brings us the gift of tolerance
that allows for different stages of worship, different and personal expressions
of devotion and even different Gods to guide our life on this earth.

QuestionsPower
of Questions
Questions
guide us in all that we do. Some questions we ask to ourselves, some to others.
We walk into a room and think or ask, "What's going on here?" We hear
the telephone ring and wonder, "Who's that?" We see a friend and ask,
usually quite automatically, "How are you?" Not every question has a
question mark at the end. For example, "I wonder if I'll have trouble
falling to sleep tonight." Or, "Let's see if there are any fresh
vegetables that look good at the supermarket today." These are examples of
rather neutral questions, that is, those that are not empowering or
disempowering. They simply guide us in our observations.

| | | | | | | Dream Dictionary Guide: Matter And Energy, Brahman And Maya
Spirituality is man’s realisation of the spirit. According to advaita , the non-dualistic philosophy of Vedanta , this spirit, which is also called the Brahman , created this entire universe through matter and energy. All objects are the outcome of one primal matter. All natural forces like gravitation, and thoughts and feelings on the consciousness level, are the outcome of a primal energy called prana .

| | | | Dream Dictionary Guide: The Subject
is Love - about the lower chakrasChakras: The Subject is Love
How does love, springing
from a divine source, become misguided in so many ways? How did we fall into
such animalistic forms of love? Some understanding of our subtle anatomy is
necessary at this point. We are all engaged in five types of work in our life, corresponding
to our five lowest centers (chakras): maintaining our physical survival (first
chakra - money), ensuring the continuation of the human race (second chakra -
sex), providing fuel for the physical vehicle (third chakra - food), developing
our emotional life (fourth chakra - heart), acquiring a set of philosophical
and religious principles to guide our life (fifth chakra - throat). These 5
lower chakras constitute the kingdom of delusion, illusion and error.

| | | | Dream Dictionary Guide: Ramzan Diary From Fatehpur Sikri
I wasn't sure what woke me up - the mellifluous call of the muezzin to prayer or the peacocks' "peeuing", calling out frantically to each other. The dial-light on my watch showed that it was exactly three in the morning. That's the right time to wake up, my guide from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) had advised me the previous evening, as we walked around Fatehpur Sikri, Agra. I went to him but he was still fast asleep.

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Guide: The Fourth State Of Consciousness
Indian philosophy’s focus is to determine the nature of that spirit or self which is the centre of everything, the animating force which makes a person alive, alert and aware. It is consciousness, variously called the Self, Knower, Seer, Experiencer or the Witness. It knows no distinction of gender, nationality, race or religion. It is the unchanging and all-pervading, transcending the limitations of time and space, birth and death. Ultimately it is the substratum or essence of the entire manifest universe.
