Dream Dictionary Eternity: The Sound Current and Vipassana Meditation

Vipassana Meditation: The practice of the sound current in Vipassana meditation, also known as the divine sound, is a foundational practice of linking directly with the soul and I AM Presence. It comes from the Himalayan masters of ancient India, and is a foundation for the practice of nada yoga, sahaj yoga, Babaji’s kriya yoga, as well as Sikh practices like shabda yoga.

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Schopenhauer’s Views On The ‘After-Death State’

Student—Tell me now, in one word, what shall I be after my death? And mind you, be clear and precise.
Philosopher—All and nothing.
Student—I thought so. I gave you a problem and you solve it by a contradiction. That’s a very stale trick.
Philosopher—Yes, but you raise transcendental questions, and you expect me to answer them in language that is only made of immanent knowledge. It’s no wonder that a contradiction ensues.

The death and dying and the life after death has always fascinated man. This is an excerpt from the book What Becomes Of The Soul After Death by Sri Swami Sivananda.

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Intensity of Faith Yields the Truth

A devotee asked Ramakrishna Parmahansa : "Sir, is God real and can I see Him?" Ramakrishna replied: "Yes, God is real. I see Him just as I see you or any other object around me." The devotee continued: "Can I also see Him as you do?" Said the sage: "Yes, you can, if the intensity of your longing for God is equal to the intensity of a drowning man longing for fresh air; or the intensity of a mother longing for the life of her only child in the grip of serious illness; or of the miser longing for more wealth. If your longing for God is at least a fraction of the longing which Radha had for Krishna, then you will see God."

The miracle of healing, is simply the body offering the subconscious mind's 'knowledge of perfect health' when the questioning nature of the conscious mind is silenced. Real faith is about things happening in the present. If it is hundred per cent faith, it must happen.

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Kalki and the Golden Age – Chapter 2: Meeting Kalki

In this second chapter of Kiara Windriders new book; “Enlightenment 2012: Kalki and the Golden Age”, Kiara is meeting Kalki.

“Enlightenment is very easy”, ended Kalki as we left, “and everyone should get enlightened”. My hope is that this book will inspire many to do so. After all, he says, it is only the beginning of the true spiritual riches that are available to us as incarnated souls.

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Faith: Staircase to God

Yours faithfully - A letter ends there. However, faith is the beginning of the human quest for self-discovery and the Absolute. Faith can be neither forced nor taught; it is an experience that transcends trust, reason, belief and ideology.

Belief in religious scripture confines the mind; the trust we repose in an individual, too, is a limiting factor. The intellect can only too often weave a cobweb of theories, and reason can cause mistrust, taking us away from discovering the great scope and depth of an infinite power that's faith, that can otherwise serve as an effective spiritual guide.

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia II - Marriage - Unique Practices

Some parts of India follow a custom in which the groom is required to marry with an auspicious plant called Tulsi before a second marriage to overcome inauspicious predictions about the health of the husband. However, the relationship is not consummated and does not affect their ability to remarry later. One should note that this is not a norm found across the entire Indian sub-continent. In the state of Kerala, India, the Nambudiri Brahmin caste traditionally practices henogamy, in which only the eld ...

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Put Life and Death In Perspective

Years ago when I first saw Hrishikesh Mukherjee's timeless classic Anand, I was deeply affected by this line spoken by the protagonist: “ Babumoshai, zindagi badi honi chahiye, lambi nahin !”.

The words have lived with me ever since. They echo Oscar Wilde's words: “It doesn't matter how long, but how you live!”

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia - Aanroo

(Eg.) The second division of Amenti. The celestial field of Aanroo is encircled by an iron wall. The field is covered with wheat, and the "Defunct" are represented gleaning it, for the "Master of Eternity"; some stalks being three, others five, and the highest seven cubits high. Those who reached the last two numbers entered the state of bliss (which is called in Theosophy Devachan); the disembodied spirits whose harvest was but three cubits high went into lower regions (Kamaloka). Wheat was with the Egyptians the symbol of the Law of Retribution or Karma. The cubits had reference to ...

Dream Dictionary Eternity: The Crystal / Octarine Shift - The Child Disaster and the Adult Awakening

There has been a lot of press lately about the sudden upsurge in profoundly autistic children- especially in California, but also in many other places. Some attribute this to the toxins in the water of California from the many fabrication plants in the Bay Area. Others say that when mildly autistic geeky sorts mate, their children are more likely to amplify their traits. Many programmers have Aspergers, a mild form of autism, which makes them excellent programmers, but also carries the risk of their offspring having full-blown autism. And others say the problem stems from the effects of some vaccines on children.

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia - Thus Spoke Zarathustra

Thus Spoke Zarathustra: A Book for All and None is a book written during the 1880s by the German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche. Hard to categorise, the work is a treatise on existential philosophy, a masterly work of literature, in parts a collection of poetry and in others a parody of and amendment to the bible. Consisting largely of speeches by the book's hero, prophet Zarathustra, the work's content extends across a mass of styles and subject matter. Nietzsche himself described the work as 'the deepest ever written'. ...

His enduring calm and peaceful character against all unbearable hardships presence the influence of his title, Mahavir (a Sanskrit word, meaning very brave and courageous), given to him by his peers. Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia II - Time travel in fiction - Literature

Time travel can form the central theme of a book, or can be a plot device. The first widely-published story to feature time travel was probably the short story The Clock That Went Backward, written anonymously, which appeared in the New York Sun in 1881. A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1889) by Mark Twain may be the first example of time travel in literature. The Time Machine (1895) by H. G. Wells is considered the literary masterpiece of the genre and the first instance of using technological means f ...

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia - Aeon

The Latin word aeon, also spelled eon or æon, means "forever" or "for eternity". It is derived from the Greek word αίών (aion), which at one point meant "a period of existence" or "life". In geology, the word eon quantitatively refers to a period of time of 1,000,000,000 years. However, geologists refer to the period in which animals evolved into abundance as the Phanerozoic Eon, which has only lasted 545 million years, to the present day. Aeon - In philosophy and mys ...

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia II - Ghost - Beliefs about ghosts

Ghosts are often depicted of a human size and shape (although some accounts also mention animal ghosts), but typically described as "silvery", "shadowy", "semitransparent", or "fog-like." Parapsychologists refer to the "substance" of which ghosts and other spirits are made of as "ectoplasm". Ghosts do not have a physical body like human beings, but only a subtle astral body. Sometimes they do not manifest themselves visually but in terms of other phenomena, such as the movements of an object, spontaneous throwing of a light switch, noises, etc., ...

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia II - Heaven - Heaven in Protestant Christianity

Historically, Christianity has been divided over how people gain entry into Heaven. From the 16th to the late 19th century, Christendom was divided between the Roman Catholic and Orthodox views on the one hand, and the Protestant views on the other. In the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox traditions, entry into Heaven depends upon the Christian receiving God's grace through the activities of the church. This would include sacraments such as Baptism, the Eucharist and Confession. Roman Catholics believe that entering Purgatory after death ...

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia - Universe

The term Universe has a variety of meanings based on the context in which it is described. In philosophical terms, the Universe is the summation of all that exists and the space in which all events occur. In cosmological terms, the Universe is thought to be a finite or infinite space-time continuum in which all matter and energy exist. (It has been hypothesized by scientists that the Universe is part of a system of many other universes, known as the multiverse.) The terms known Universe, observable Universe, or visibl ...

Dream Dictionary Eternity: Encyclopedia II - Cult of personality - History

Throughout history there have always been leaders who have fostered adulation. Many leaders of the Roman Empire and Hellenistic Greece displayed features of today's cults of personality, as did Imperial China, with ancient Egypt especially noted for elevating monarchs to the status of god-kings. For much of premodern times, absolute monarchies were the dominant form of government, and monarchs were almost always held in enormous reverence. Through the principle of the divine right of kings, rulers were said to hold office by the will of God, which demonstrates the poten ...
