Karma yoga joins both the physical and
mental aspects of Hindu philosophy to produce a single concept. It believes
that the present relies on the past and that in turn, with your actions, you
can alter the future. Selflessness is a primary requirement for karma practice.
Steering your actions towards the good Đ saying good, thinking good, doing good
will all facilitate selflessness. Acting this way eliminates egoistic and
negative behaviour and enables you to influence your destiny.

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Destiny: A message to the world from the Mayan Elders about the coming Venus Transit A message about the forthcoming Venus Transit from the Mayan Elders thru Carlos Barrios, a Mayan Ajq'ij that has been given the mission by his elders to begin sharing the prophecies and teachings of the Mayan peoples with the rest of the world.
“Now that we are at the gates of a New Path of Venus over the Face of the Sun
on June 7-8 2004, the least we can do is expecting a new change in the outcome
of humanity. Death is knocking at our doors. The drums of war can be heard. Intransigence, the destruction of our Mother Earth, pollution, new diseases, the resurging of old plagues, global warming, the fear of world conflict, intolerance and fundamentalism in any of its manifestations, negligence, apathy, the confusion or worst still the extreme estrangement of drug abuse. --- While reason and logic tell us that we have to stop all this madness, we are living in the age of prophecies, and the responsibility of balancing things is ours. There
is no more time to play; it is know time to act. --- The great guardian brings the energy of a new beginning, the beginning of a new era.”
It sounds like a pessimistic prophecy but can be compared to what the Indian Avatar Sri Kalkis view. Kalki says that the Venus Transit of June 2004 is the start of the Golden Age, but he is also saying:
“Humanity is entering the most crucial phase of its existence. The coming decade shall witness the most unprecedented and undreamt of changes in the course of its long evolution. There is nothing much humanity could do about it, other than to understand the changes occurring around it and to flow with the changes that are overpowering it. Towards the end, humanity would enter a new age, The Golden Age. The transition will be a painful process. Only those whose relationships are in order would make it easily.”

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Destiny: Fasting
and Penance Strengthen the SoulFasting and Penance Strengthen the
Soul
A feature common to most religions,
worldwide, is the practice of undertaking periodic fasts. Saum
or fasts are an integral part of Islam. For Hindus, fasts are a form and
part of prayer and worship and the word upvas means
"being near God".
The concept of asan
or fasting takes different forms in Jainism. Followers of Buddhism too
observe fasts on certain days as do Christians, especially during Lent.
Abstaining from food during Ramadan is a part of the
broader programme that Islam prescribes for man to fulfil his moral and
spiritual destiny in this world and in the hereafter.

Significance of Vesak - Buddha DayBuddha Day: The
Significance of Vesak - Buddha Day
The significance of Vesak lies
with the Buddha and his universal peace message to mankind.
As we recall the Buddha and his
Enlightenment, we are immediately reminded of the unique and most profound
knowledge and insight which arose in him on the night of his Enlightenment.
This coincided with three important events which took place, corresponding to
the three watches or periods of the night.

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Destiny: The Way to Overcome Sorrow
It can happen to anyone. Destiny can strike suddenly, changing your life forever. God has plans for everyone. The wisdom and kindness of God is beyond our minds' reach. We can only try to understand it if we surrender totally to God and have deep faith. The way to deal with crisis and life-threatening situations is to resolve to do our best and let God do the rest...

| | | | | Dream Dictionary Destiny: The Law Of KarmaKarma means not
only action, but also the result of an action. The consequence of an action is
really not a separate thing. It is a part of the action, and cannot be divided
from it. Breathing, thinking, talking, seeing, hearing, eating, etc., are
Karmas. Thinking is mental Karma. Karma is the sum total of our acts both in
the present life and in the preceding births.
Any deed, any
thought that causes an effect, is called a Karma. The Law of Karma means the
law of causation. Wherever there is a cause, there an effect must be produced.
A seed is a cause for the tree which is the effect. The tree produces seeds and
becomes the cause for the seeds.

All About Hinduism by Sri Swami Sivananda

| | | | Dream Dictionary Destiny: Freedom From Exile
Destiny and the dynamics of living often remove us from the place we belong to, from what we refer to as our hometown. Living away, we tend to get "hometown-sick". We split ourselves, and suffer a 'body here, mind there' syndrome. Interestingly, this can happen not just to an individual or a family, but even collectively to a whole people.
