It is a very disturbing dream for any man, and more likely it relates to impotence or fear of it, or anxiety that he might not be able to satisfy a particular woman. The dream might also refer to a fear that someone wants to emasculate you not necessarily in a sexual content. For a woman a dream of castrating a man expresses very powerful emotions. It usually reflects her desire to posses and subdue her partner and feel superior.

Dream Interpretation Genitals

A dream of genitals is not a specifically sexual dream. In a man's dream it could be an allusion to general potency. In a woman's dream it is an allusion to menstruation and or a desire to conceive. On the other hand, there may be a specific sexual allusion of which only a dreamer may be aware. Dreaming of castration reflects perhaps the most severe fear in men. A woman, dreaming of castrating a man, has a harsh desire to subdue him.

One of the more common scenarios under this theme is of teeth falling out or crumbling.

This might have a physical origin in people gritting or grinding teeth during sleep. Freud suggested that dreams of teeth falling out are related to fears of castration, but women have this dream as often as men, Garfield says. She believes the tooth troubles in dreams are related to anger, with a dreamer acting out the clenching of his teeth. Other psychologists believe the dream reflects anxiety about appearance and how others perceive you.

Rare, but good, this dream often accompanies a new start, a new job or first day of school. Sometimes dreaming of rebirth represents your hopes for a loved one who has died.

Meaning of Dreams in Islam

Few Western dream researchers have any familiarity with the rich dream traditions of Islam. The Muslim faith first emerged in seventh century B.C.E. Arabia as a profound revisioning of early Jewish and Christian beliefs and practices. One theme the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) drew from the scriptures of those two religions was a reverence for dreaming. In the Quran, as in the Jewish Torah and the Christian New Testament, dreams serve as a vital medium by which God communicates with humans. Dreams offer divine guidance and comfort, warn people of impending danger, and offer prophetic glimpses of the future. Although the three religions drastically differ on many other topics, they find substantial agreement on this particular point: dreaming is a valuable source of wisdom, understanding, and inspiration. Indeed, as I will propose in this brief essay, Islam has historically shown greater interest in dreams than either of the other two traditions, and has done more to weave dreaming into the daily lives of its members. From the first revelatory visions of Muhammed to the myriad dream practices of present-day Muslims, Islam has developed and sustained a complex, multifaceted tradition of active engagement with the dreaming imagination.

Eunuch

A castrated male. Voluntary castration is associated either with ascetic vows, resulting in permanent celibacy, or with some forms of priesthood.
