Dream Analysis Basement: Dream Interpretations Dictionary - Building

Dream Interpretation Building

Buildings in dreams often represent our bodies or personalities. The building may also represent intellect or understanding: people who are about to take up a new project may explore unfamiliar rooms in a well-known house. In many cases, a journey into exploration of a building represents your own desire to learn yourself and resolve ongoing psychological problem. The building also is a symbol that stands for expanding your life. Usually it doesn't matter how tall or big the building is, or how well it is decorated, but it is a good sign which tells you that your plans are going to be successful. But if the house is in a bad shape or falling down, it is a warning: your plans or decisions will hurt you and result in losses. In a woman's dream a building/house is often a symbol of her body. Then you should interpret the parts of the house like roof - head, windows - sexual organs, ground floor/first floor - internal organs, basement - feet.

Trapped : Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Being Lost, Being Trapped

Being Lost or Trapped

Definition: You dream you are lost, perhaps feeling desperate. You may be trying to find your way in a forest, in city streets, in a maze, or inside a large building.

Examples:

  • I am in a strange part of town that looks threatening. I keep trying to find my way out but get more and more mixed up.
  • I am in a hospital basement. All the corridors look alike--I'm lost.

Basement Dream Symbols:

Basement, or what is in it are those unconscious aspects in your life {basement symbolizes the deepest part of your unconscious mind}. Explore this area first. They are also frightening places. What in your life seems dark and damp and in the depths? Most of the time they seem that way because of our fear to confront them. They usually turn out to be harmless.

Dream Analysis Basement: Dreams Interpretation Dictionary - Rooms

Rooms

See Also House

(1) A room may represent the self, or some aspect of yourself.

(2) It may be a symbol of the womb. Freud tells us of a dream in which a girl (the dreamer) entered a room six or eight times and every time saw her father sitting there. Freud saw the dream as expressing the girl's fantasy of having seen her father come into her mother's womb while the girl was still a fetus,

(3) If the room is a cellar or basement, it may symbolize your unconscious. If it is a room near or at the top of a high building, it may represent consciousness (your waking life); idealism; lofty aspirations. (But of course an upstairs room may nevertheless symbolize libido, instinctive life and desires: for example, if it is a bedroom where sexual activity is taking place).

(4) A suite of rooms may express a male dreamer's polygamous sexual desires. This does not mean be polygamous in real life. On the contrary, he might well be shocked by the dream. What such a dream exemplifies is the way the unconscious compensates or balances the conscious self: a polygamous person might have monogamous dreams!

Dream Analysis Basement: Dreams Interpretation Dictionary - House Dreams

House Dreams Dream Symbols:

Houses in a dream most always symbolize the dreamer; different aspects of the psyche being represented by the different rooms, levels in the house, outer and/or inner aspects. It is your self-image, yet at the same can reveal the inner parts. Typically the different rooms of a house may symbolize the different emotions or complexes. The oldest, the deepest layers of the unconscious - what Jung called the "collective unconscious" will be seen as basement and the hidden spaces below that level.

Dream Analysis Basement: Dream Interpretation Dictionary - Basement

Basement

The house generally represents your psychological and emotional self. Each part of the house may deal with a different part of you. The basement is built first. It is often below ground (or at least some parts of it), and is essentially the foundation of the house. Dreaming about a basement and understanding the dream, may provide you with valuable information which may lead to greater self-awareness. A recurring dream about basements (i.e. being in a basement, cleaning a basement, furnishing a basement, etc.) should not be ignored. These dreams may be symbolic of your unconscious, instincts and intuition, and degree of awareness of a current situation or a problem. The look of the basement may provide you with clues about your current feelings and state of contentment. If the basement is a mess, and you see great disorder and clutter, it suggests that you may be experiencing confusion and that it is a very good time to "sort" things out emotionally and psychologically. At times, the activities which are going on in the basement of your dream may be based on past experiences or childhood memories. As with all dreams, their main purpose seems to be to bring the dreamer to higher consciousness so that he may deal with his current issues more effectively, rather than to dwell on the past.

Dream Analysis Basement: Encyclopedia II - Prank flash - Screamers

Usually the movies begin innocuously, sometimes with a mundane image or even a simple game or quiz designed to keep the viewer's attention on the screen (such as the infamous "What's wrong with this picture?"). Sometimes the image is accompanied by audio which is kept at a deliberately low level, so as to persuade the viewer to turn up the volume on their computer. The image itself may be small to force the user to maximize their browser window. Another technique is to play a song, prompting the user to turn up the volume, with the lyrics of ...

In February 1992 GP-O, the family, and various members of the TOPY entourage, had just come from Kathmandu, where they had distributed rice, dal, and clothing to those in need from a Hindu temple in an annual tradition of "giving back" through PTV royalties.
