Bhakti Yoga Dictionary on Bahudaka Bahudaka - the second of four stages of sannyasa. When a sannyasi advances beyond the kuticaka stage, he no longer accepts anything from home; instead he collects his necessities from many places. This system is called madhukari, which literally means ‘the profession of bumblebees’. As bumblebees collect honey from many flowers, so a sannyasi should beg from door to door but not accept very much from any particular house. The bahudaka stage has been mentioned in Srimad-Bhagavatam (3.12.43). In his commentary on this sloka, Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura defines the ascetic in this stage as, one who has relegated the performance of karma to a secondary position and who gives prominence to transcendental knowledge. D D. Both in the English and Hebrew alphabets the fourth letter, whose numerical value is four. The symbolical signification in the Kabbala of the Daleth is "door". It is the Greek delta D, through which the world (whose symbol is the tetrad or number four,) issued, producing the divine seven. The name of the Tetrad was Harmony with the Pythagoreans, "because it is a diatessaron in sesquitertia". With the Kabbalists, the divine name associated with Daleth was Daghoul. Spiritual - Theosophy
Dictionary on
Theosebeia Theosebeia (Greek) Reverence for divinity; used by Plato and others as the adjective theosebes (plural theosebeis), "those who know." It imbodies the principle of occult training that reverence for spiritual things is based on intuition, and hence those who are intuitive or reverent in their attitude towards truth are those who know. Skepticism itself closes the door to the gaining of larger increments of knowledge: there are none so blind as those who refuse to know. Witch Witchcraft Dictionary on SPRITE TRAPS SPRITE TRAPS: A form of a protective device whose name is a corruption of Spirit Trap. Sprite Traps were made by several means from a small magically charged stone nestled between the forks of a smallish stang to more elaborate creations involving weaving a particular pattern with red thread atop a forked ash or rowan wand -- such woven traps incorporated design elements as runes of protection and were planted firmly at the front and back doors of homes and businesses. Are you trying to figure something out and "unlock" a puzzling question? Do you wish to hide something? Are you locking something up or are you opening the door? Dictionary - Sea Sea [198] - To dream of hearing the lonely sighing of the sea, foretells that you will be fated to spend a weary and unfruitful life devoid of love and comradeship.
- Dreams of the sea, prognosticate unfulfilled anticipations, while pleasures of a material form are enjoyed, there is an inward craving for pleasure that flesh cannot requite.
- For a young woman to dream that she glides swiftly over the sea with her lover, there will come to her sweet fruition of maidenly hopes, and joy will stand guard at the door of the consummation of changeless vows.
