The concept of the divine or of The Divine, meaning "matters relating to a god", forms an important ingredient in many religious faiths (but compare Buddhism, for example, or Scientology). It expresses the sacred nature of the monotheistic god(s) foundational to many of the world's religions, as well as the sacred nature of the various deities that form part of polytheistic religions such as Hinduism.
'The Divine' is also the abstract name which the fictional religion of Wayism worships.

Men pass, mountains remain. Little wonder, why mountains are a sign of solidity and stability. They tower over us, touching the sky, sometimes through clouds ... they convey a sense of mystery.
In fact, philosophers say that the mountain is the point where heaven and earth meet. Mountains, therefore, are considered holy in many faiths. They are believed to be the abode of gods, even a place where one can find salvation.
Christian literature reveals the symbolic role of mountains. In the Old Testament, God was depicted as God of the mountains. But God was also a God of the valleys.

Divine music, when you experience it,
brings with it intense and lasting bliss. How can one who has heard this divine
melody describe it to one who has not? Anyone who attempts to describe it would
have to use pale analogies. If we think of the most beautiful music we have
ever heard in this world, it still does not compare with the music known as the
Voice of God.
The divine music is playing within us all
the time. We dont hear it because no one has shown us the way to listen to this
inner music.
Sage Narada had the knack of bringing about social change and spiritual growth wherever he went. Adored and respected by Lord Krishna, Narada employed different ways to bring people nearer to God. He convinced the dacoit Ratnakar to chant "Mara, Mara" - the reverse of "Rama, Rama" - helping him evolve enough to get transformed into a sage (Valmiki).
Narada taught five-year-old Dhruv how to meditate. The result? The Lord manifested Himself before Dhruv. Narada'spointer that all eight children of Devaki could be a threat to King Kansa'slife led to Kansa being killed and liberated at the hands of God. Somehow, Narada brings all to God.

The mundane understanding of sound and language is that it is only used for communication between two or more people. But at another level, the science of sound and language is a huge field of wisdom that affect many aspects of life, not the least our spiritual wellbeing. This article explain in detail the science of sound and language and how this wisdom has been an imbedded key component of the ancient sciences of India for thousands of years. Yoga, chanting and the use of mantras are all closely connected to the conscious use of sound and language for healing and spiritual awakening.
The word riyaz has its origins in r iyazat, which implies ibadat, bandagi, bhakti or devotion. If riyaz is performed with a spirit of devotion, the exercise becomes ibadat. But while r iyaz is rather mechanically equated with practice or exercise, the all-important difference is one of spirit. Riyaz is to achieve that which has not been achieved so far. For that, the student has to struggle with faith.
In the initial stages one might be less than sure whether one is correct in what one is doing. But that is the struggle! In the absence of faith, one's riyaz will be filled with doubt. Faith is of great importance in r iyaz . Practice with a doubt-ridden mind will achieve little.

It was the darkest hour of the era. The brutalities
perpetrated by despot king Kansa had become unbearable. In such a period of
crisis, during the Dwapar Yuga, the Divine Power descended on earth in human
form as Krishna. He is Raagi as well as Vairaagi; Nar and Narayan; Chakradhar
and Murlidhar - all blending into one incarnation, Krishna.
The Vedas
are the Divine scriptures of ancient India and in modern times can be traced as
least as far back as 12,OOO B.C. a lthough it is generally accepted tat the
Vedas appear at different times of the cosmic creation forte benefit of human
society. They are considered to be the revelations of the Divine nature, and
its relationship within and without us. "Mantra" is the term used to
mean Divine sound vibration or the word of God. There are teachings of mantras
(hymns), teachings of ritual, theology, and philosophy at the root of all the
vedic sciences. The point of all is the knowledge of the soul called "atma
vidya", being our real "self" and separate and distinct from the
material body , and the material world which surrounds us.
The Tiruppavai, a 1,000-year-old
collection of 30 Tamil songs in praise of Krishna, was composed by Goda when
she was barely 15 years of age. It is sung during the month of Margazhi in
Tamil Nadu, between mid-December and mid-January. The Tiruppavai is also called
Godopanishad because it contains the quintessence of the scriptures.

The science of Kriya
Yoga is the most precious technique for God-realization. It is very simple, it
is easy to perform, and it gives the quickest results. With the help of the
scientific technique of Kriya Yoga, a person perceives the triple divine
qualities of the Soul, and through concentration on the divine qualities, he
overcomes, within a short time, all the obstacles of the deep-rooted mental
impressions, and becomes established in divine consciousness
The different yoga schools simply adhere to different applications of inner discipline, all of which ultimately lead to the liberation of the soul and to a unique understanding of the Divine Unity.
The schools are merely named according to the yogi's objective of self-transformation and the instrument chosen for such anticipated change. The yoga schools are: Ashtanga Yoga, Purna Yoga, Integral Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Mantra Yoga,and Tantra Yoga.
