| | | | Disease: Vedic Gemstone TherapyGemstone Therapy
From time
immemorial gemstones have been used by all cultures of the world. Their
inherent beauty is second to no other material in the mineral kingdom. Today's
science of gemmology gives much information about the physical properties and
chemical composition of gemstones, but gives no information of their
"healing properties". They are extremely powerful tools to aid in
balancing the physical, psychological and spiritual sides of life. This is
necessary in order to keep oneself in proper order. The information I will give
in this section is mainly from the Vedic viewpoint. This has been tried and tested
for thousands of years and found to be accurate. The vedas have the greatest
wealth of information on the metaphysical properties, as well as the physical
properties, of gems and their correct application to enhance the lives of human
beings.

| | | | Disease: Gem Therapy for the Modern AgeGem Therapy
for the Modern Age
The
history of gemstone therapy dates back for thousands of years. It is known that
the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Judaic cultures utilized gems for both
healing and general enhancement of life, but it was the ancient Vedic culture
of India that gave us the greatest inheritance of this knowledge. The
metaphysical properties and how persons can increase their own well-being on
the physical, emotional, and even spiritual planes through the proper use of
gemstones is a science delineated in the Vedic scriptures to a far greater
degree than the texts of any other ancient culture.

chakras and channels of energyChakra
- Chakras: The
chakras and channels of energy
Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory
organs that interprets the outside physical world. At the same time, within us
resides a subtle system of channels (nadis) and centers of energy
(chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and
spiritual being.
Each of the seven chakras has several spiritual qualities. These
qualities are intact within us, and even though they might not always be
manifest, they can never be destroyed. When the Kundalini is awakened, these
qualities start manifesting spontaneously and express themselves in our life.

| | | | Disease: Health Benefits of Sahaja YogaHealth benefits of Sahaja Yoga
On being asked as to why so many
foreigners are coming to India, when advanced medicines are available with
doctors of modern medicine all over the world, Dr. Rai added, "The
doctors abroad don't have a treatment for the psyche of human being, except
giving tranquillizers, sedatives and anti-depressant drugs. These are not only
harmful, but also habit-forming. In view of this, Sahaj yoga, which can control
the psyche of human being by meditation, has become very popular to the
treatment and prevention of psychosomatic diseases like bronchial asthma,
migraine, irritable bowel syndrome, infertility, multiple scierosis and
spondylitis, to name a few. It is all due to the blessings of Shree Mataji
Nirmala Devi, who founded Sahaj Yoga centre, and has enlightened thousands of
people all over the world."

Yoga: Research
on the effect of vibrations on water
With the spreading of Sahaja Yoga, it became well known that water
can be vibrated by Shri Mataji, directly by her personal impact or in the
presence of her photograph. Many people experienced medicinal properties of
such water. Vibrated water doesn't get spoiled when stored for a very long
time, like several months. For estimating the quality of the water we used
standard, worldwide accepted, sanitary chemical characteristics, which
indirectly characterize the degree of water contamination.

Today, you
may think in this technologically advanced society, (as I sit by my computer
writing this, and you sit by yours reading it) there are a whole range of
patented chemical drugs tailored for all ailments, so why use herbal medicines?
Herbs are as effective for healing today as they were
in our grandmothers' day, and for thousands of years before that. We may live
in a very different world today but the human body hasn't changed, in fact it's
often struggling to cope with ifs new modern environment.

| | | | | Disease: Sex Is Not CompulsoryCelibacy: Sex Is Not Compulsory
Most of the sex advice books written
during 1960s underlined the idea that the world could be saved by sex -
without, of course, enduring the messy and inconvenient complications of an
unwanted pregnancy. Many therapists of that era encouraged their neurotic and
mentally disturbed patients to 'find themselves' and become better balanced
individuals through positive experiences of sex. Sometimes, surrogate partners
would be provided for the purpose. We liked to believe then that much mental
illness as well, resulted from long-held repressions, and that these could be
released through sex.
