Health Dictionary on Magical diet magical diet (magical diets): System of food magic devised by Scott Cunningham (1956-1993), author of more than a dozen books on magic and/or witchcraft. Its principle is that different foods harbor different magical energies. For example, Cunningham recommended canned chili, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and iced tea for magical and physical energy, and Seven-Up and fast-food fish sandwiches for psychic awareness. Health Dictionary on Mucusless diet mucusless diet: Centerpiece of Ehretism. The mucusless diet consists of all green vegetables and all fruit. In an essay titled My Mucusless Diet and Naturopathy, Ehret held that internal impurity (mucus) was the only disease, and that unusable food elements, mainly from mucus-forming foods, caused it. Mucus-forming foods, according to one of Ehret's articles, include dairy products, eggs, fats, meat, and all starchy foods. In one of the 25 lessons that constitute the text of Mucusless Diet Healing System, Ehret, citing Genesis, called fruits and starchless greenleaf vegetables the natural food of man (see: Bentonite Clay) (See also: Mucusless diet, Body Mind and Soul, Alternative Health, Alternative Health Dictionary)

Ayurveda Ayurvedic Dictionary on Diet Planning Diet Planning Since diet, along with daily habits, is crucial to the health of an individual, it must be made clear at the outset that there is no standard ideal diet for all people in general. The various factors that need to be kept in mind while working out the ideal diet for each person, which will be distinctly different based on the person’s specific constitutional characteristics, are as listed below: · The natural qualities of each food. · How those natural qualities can get altered. · The effects of combining foods – proper and unacceptable combinations. · The quantity of food intake. · Individual differences in food intake. · The places & climate where the food is grown, prepared and consumed. · The effects of the seasons and time of day. · Avoidance of artificial flavors, chemicals, preservatives and colours. Diet Composition One other factor that has remained a matter of great debate worldwide over the ages has been the vegetarianism vs. non-vegetarianism controversy. Initially it was common belief that non-vegetarian diet is superior in that it is full of energetic ingredients and thus provides more strength and stamina. But now it has been scientifically established that vegetarian diet is more natural and useful to human nature. Non-vegetarian diet contains cholesterol saturated fatty acids that are the root cause of diseases as coronary heart problems, cerebro-vascular accidents (strokes), eye disorders & high blood pressure. With only about 60% of its contents useful for human body, the rest 40% contains harmful toxins. In addition, such diet is usually heavy for the stomach and produces acidity, which in turn can cause problems in the gastrointestinal system. Another significantly important difference between the two is that fruits & vegetables (cereals & grains, legumes, seedy fruits, citrus fruits, carrot, cabbage, celery, green leafy vegetables, apples, melons, peaches, pears etc.) are rich in dietary fibers that reduces incidence of coronary heart diseases, cancer of intestinal tract, piles, obesity, diabetes, constipation, hiatus hernia, diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrome, dental caries and gallstones. Also many disease causing organisms are transmitted through and thrive in animal protein – serious ailments as Encephalopathy and Mad Cow diseases are caused by Bovine Spongi. Similarly the Salmonella Typhimurium bacteria can be passed on through consumed eggs, causing diseases like pneumonia, bronchitis and typhoid. Given that the body of non-vegetarian animals contains 10 times more amount of hydrochloric acid than that of vegetarian ones, and that the human body should not be having such a high concentration of hydrochloric acid, it is reasonable to assume that the fact human body is basically meant for a vegetarian diet. Health Dictionary on Rainbow Diet Rainbow Diet: A theistic form of vegetarianism, chakra healing, and color therapy advanced by Gabriel Cousens, M.D., a practitioner of auricular acupuncture, crystal healing, and homeopathy. Cousens is the author of Conscious Eating, Sevenfold Peace, and Spiritual Nutrition and The Rainbow Diet (1986). The Rainbow Diet's principle is that every colored food - except flesh, fast food, junk food, frozen food, and irradiated food - builds, cleanses, energizes, heals, and rebalances those glands, organs, and nerve centers associated with whichever major chakra is related to the food's surface color. | | | | Diet: Encyclopedia II - Raw food diet - Food preparationMost foods in raw food diets are simple in preparation, and can be eaten immediately. These include fruit and salads. Other foods can require considerable advanced planning to prepare for eating. Rice and some other grains, for example, require sprouting or overnight soaking to become edible.
Preparation of gourmet raw food recipes usually call for a blender, food processor, juicer, and dehydrator. Depending on the recipe, some food (such as cakes) may need to be dehydrated. These processes, which emulate cooked food, are lengthy: some adherents of the diet consequently dispense with these foods, feeling that t ...

Health Dictionary on Lemonade diet lemonade diet (lemon cleansing, master cleanser): One of the three major components of a theistic system of self-healing developed by Stanley Burroughs and expounded by him in Healing for the Age of Enlightenment (1976). Lemon cleansing is a mono-diet variation wherein one ingests daily, for ten to 40 or more days, nothing except 60 to 120 ounces of a drink that consists of lemon (or lime) juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper (red pepper), and water. Its main principle is that lemons and ripe limes have unique anionic properties to create the energy necessary for health maintenance. Another of its principles is that Nature creates infections to assist in burning one's surplus wastes. (See also: Lemonade diet, Body Mind and Soul, Alternative Health, Alternative Health Dictionary)

Health Dictionary on Daniel's Diet Daniel's Diet: medical panacea and higher way of eating promoted by microbiologist Robert O. Young, Ph.D., D.Sc., author of Colloids of Light & Life, Profiles of Microscopy, Sick & Tired, and One Sickness - One Disease - One Treatment (1995). In the latter book, Young holds that mycosis, or fungal infection, or over-acidification of the body (or blood), is the only disease. He further holds that an inverted way of living and eating, especially excessive consumption of sugars and animal protein, causes such over-acidification. Daniel's Diet excludes all foods except avocados, lemons, limes, tomatoes, vegetables (e.g., buckwheat and soybeans), dark-green vegetable juice, tofu (bean curd), millet, sprouted or soaked seeds and nuts, oils, sea salt, herbal teas, specific dietary supplements (e.g., Pycnogenol ), and LiquidLightning Oxygen-O3 (a formula beneficial for oxygen deprivation). The diet is the namesake of a Jewish prophet and fortuneteller of the sixth century B.C.E. According to the Book of Daniel, in the Old Testament, Daniel refused to consume meat and wine assigned to him by a Babylonian king, requested vegetables and water, and, after eating only vegetables for ten days, appeared healthier and stronger. In the aforementioned 1995 book, Young states: In all of Gods' [sic] creations there is order and purpose.
