Deha-sanyasa: Passage Of The Soul Between Death And Rebirth

The soul migrates with the astral body, or Sukshma-Sarira or Linga-Deha. This astral body is made up of nineteen Tattvas or principles, viz., five organs of action, five organs of knowledge, five Pranas, mind, intellect, Chitta (the subconscious), and Ahankara or egoism.

deha: (Sanskrit) "Body." From the verb dih, "to plaster, mold; anoint, fashion."

 

A term used in the Upanishads, yoga texts, Saiva Agamas, Tirumantiram and elsewhere to name the three bodies of the soul: gross or physical (sthula), astral or subtle (sukshma) and causal (karana). A synonym for sharira.

Deha-sanyasa: Spiritual Theosophical Dictionary on Indriya, Deha Sanyama

Indriya or Deha Sanyama (Sanskrit). The control of the senses in Yoga practice. These are the ten external agents; the five senses which are used for perception are called Jnana-indriya, and the five used for action - Karma-indriya. Pancha-indryani means literally and in its occult sense "the live roots producing life"(eternal). With the Buddhists, it is the five positive agents producing five supernal qualities.

Amrita:

 

Amrita ("immortal/immortality"): a designation of the deathless Spirit (atman, purusha); also the nectar of immortality that oozes from the psychoenergetic center at the crown of the head (see sahasrara-cakra) when it is activated and transforms the body into a "divine body" (divya-deha)

sharira: (Sanskrit) "Body; husk."

 

Three bodies of the soul:

1)    sthula sharira, "gross or physical body" (also called annamaya kosha), the odic body;

2)    sukshma sharira, "subtle body" (also called linga sharira, it includes the pranamaya, manomaya and vijnanamaya koshas);

3)    karana sharira, "causal body" (also called anandamaya kosha), the actinic causal body.

 

Another term for sharira is deha.
