Hindu -
Hinduism Dictionary on Siddhi siddhi: (Sanskrit) "Power, accomplishment; perfection." Extraordinary powers of the soul, developed through consistent meditation and deliberate, grueling, often uncomfortable tapas, or awakened naturally through spiritual maturity and yogic sadhana. Through the repeated experience of Self Realization, siddhis naturally unfold according to the needs of the individual. Before Self Realization, the use or development of siddhis is among the greatest obstacles on the path because it cultivates ahamkara, I-ness, and militates against the attainment of prapatti, complete submission to the will of God, Gods and guru. Six siddhis in particular are considered primary obstacles to samadhi: - clairvoyance (adarsha siddhi or divya siddhi), - clairaudience (shravana siddhi or divyashravana), - divination (pratibha siddhi), - super-feeling (vedana siddhi) and - super-taste (asvadana siddhi), - supersmell (varta siddhi). The eight classical siddhis are: 1) anima: to be as small as an atom; 2) mahima: to become infinitely large; 3) laghima: super-lightness, levitation; 4) prapti: pervasiveness, extension, to be anywhere at will; 5) prakamya: fulfillment of desires; 6) vashitva: control of natural forces; 7) ishititva: supremacy over nature; 8) kama-avasayitva: complete satisfaction. The supreme siddhi (parasiddhi) is realization of the Self, Parasiva. See: ahamkara, prapatti, siddha yoga, psychic ability. (See also: Siddhi, Hinduism, Body Mind and Soul)

Interpretation - Money Money Money can be lost, gained, or spent in dreaming. Dreams about money are often really about power, control, and competency. Consequently, the larger perspective of who is interacting with you around money and what your role in the transaction is are important features of the dream. Many people who dream about money are controlled by it-the desire for it, the lack of it, or the inability to control themselves with it. This last category is seen most clearly in money dreams experienced by people who are drowning in debt. If you gain money in a dream, note from whom and under what circumstances. This may be a dream about blessing. The gain of money in this instance is more a gain of emotional power and renewal through a completed relationship that no longer depletes the soul. You may see yourself as having great wealth to dole out to others. This is often a symbol of needing to convey blessing onto others. The true need is rarely financial, but a need to help others. Losing money for no apparent reason is the picture of being unable to control oneself. The lack of control may actually be in the area of money, but it may also be the inability to restrain oneself from over-committing resources emotionally or otherwise. In your waking life, how do you perceive and value money? In some families, money is taken for granted, in others it is a powerful symbol of control, influence, or status. Whether or not you have money problems, money dreams could reveal feelings about your relationship with power. New Age
Spirituality Dictionary on Chi Chi (Chinese, "ether," "matter-energy," "vital energy," "material force") An important and multifaceted term in Chinese religion, philosophy, and science, the root meaning of which is "moist vapor" or "breath. " - Early Chinese teachers spoke of chi as a vital spirit or energy that animated living beings. As such, it had to be properly nourished.
- For Confucians, that required moral cultivation so that one's chi, undistracted by external things, would conform to the dictates of will.
- For Taoists, it required mastery of the self through meditation, breath control, diet, yoga, and other techniques so as to harmonize one's chi with the material force of the universe ordered by the Tao (undifferentiated unity).
Traditional Chinese medicine attributed illnesses primarily to imbalances in the chi that pulsed through the body. Acupuncture, moxibustion (placing burning cones made of the dried leaves of the Artemisia moxa plant on the patient's skin), and other techniques helped to restore its balanced circulation. Chi was also an important concept in the correlative philosophy that blossomed in the early Han dynasty (206 BC-AD 8) systematizing the correspondences between like things that explained their mutual interactions. In the Neo-Confucian metaphysics of the Northern and Southern Sung dynasties (960-1279), all phenomena were said to be manifest through the intrinsic relation of principle (li) and material force (chi). Li constituted the essential, unchanging, perfect nature of all things, while chi represented their corporeal, transitory, and potentially flawed aspect. Individuals were instructed to perfect their humanity, to purify and harmonize their chi with their true Heavenendowed nature through the external investigation of things and mental introspection. Also Ki. (See also: Chi, New Age Spirituality, Body Mind and Soul)

 | | | Control Dictionary: Is it possible to control dreams? Dream FAQ Dictionary: Is it possible to control dreams? Is it possible to control dreams? You often can influence your dreams by giving yourself pre-sleep suggestions. Another method of influencing dreams is called lucid dreaming, in which you are aware you are dreaming while still asleep and in the dream. Sometimes people experience this type of dreaming spontaneously. It is often possible to learn how to increase lucid dreaming, and thereby increase your capacity to affect the course of the dream events as they unfold. Some things are easier than others to control, and indeed complete control is probably never possible. Some professional dream workers question the advisability of trying to control the dream, and encourage learning to enjoy and understand it instead. Alternative
Health Dictionary on Silva Mind Control Silva Mind Control (Silva Mental Dynamics, Silva Method, Silva Method of mind development, Silva Mind Control method, Silva Mind Control Method of Mental Dynamics, Silva Mind Control program of Mental Dynamics, Silva Mind Control system, Silva mind method): Brainchild of Jose Silva codeveloped by Burt Goldman. Silva, an unschooled electronics engineer born in Texas in 1914, expounded his method with different coauthors in The Silva Mind Control Method (1978) and The Silva Mind Control Method of Mental Dynamics (1988). Silva Mind Control is a positive thinking philosophy of meditative self-help that effects alpha rhythm, a brain wave that occurs in humans during wakeful relaxation. Proponents of Silva Mind Control have claimed that it enables telepathy. One of its principles (universal rules) is that the universe is a mental creation of God. Another is that vibration is the root of health, illness, success, and failure. (See also: Silva Mind Control, Body Mind and Soul, Alternative Health, Alternative Health Dictionary)

 | | | Control Dictionary: f you are lucid, can you control the dream? Dream FAQ Dictionary: f you are lucid, can you control the dream? If you are lucid, can you control the dream? A. Usually lucidity brings with it some degree of control over thecourse of the dream. How much control is possible varies from dream todream and from dreamer to dreamer. Practice can apparently contributeto the ability to exert control over dream events. At the least, luciddreamers can choose how they wish to respond to the events of thedream. For example, you can decide to face up to a frightening dreamfigure, knowing it cannot harm you, rather than to try to avoid thedanger as you naturally would if you did not know it was a dream. Eventhis amount of control can transform the dream experience from one inwhich you are the helpless victim of frequently terrifying, frustrating, or maddening experiences to one in which you can dismissfor a while the cares and concerns of waking life. On the other hand, some people are able to achieve a level of mastery in their luciddreaming where they can create any world, live any fantasy, andexperience anything they can imagine! | | | Control Dictionary: Can dreams be controlled? Dream FAQ Dictionary: Can dreams be controlled? Can dreams be controlled? Learning how to dream lucidly is one way to direct dreams. Another, more common way – and one used by peoples around the world since ancient times – is to direct dreams through incubation, a process in which we ask dreams to answer a specific question. Techniques for "pro-active dreaming" are given in my book The Dreamer's Way, published by Berkley Books, 2004.
