He has been the subject of over 718 books (and counting), including two by his only wife, Priscilla Beaulieu Presley (whom he married on May 1, 1967) and several others by former girlfriends including June Juanico. Since his death many claims to relationships have been made by women who were no more than acquaintances or had short term affairs which were exaggerated for personal gain. Elvis ...

Colonel Tom Parker: Encyclopedia II - Elvis and Me - The Beatles' shadow mysticism and drugs

By 1965 The Beatles had overwhelmed the music industry and Presley’s record sales began to slip noticeably. Uncertain about who he was and where his career was going he turned to spiritualism, dragging an uninterested Priscilla with him. He had not performed live for several years and labeled most of his movies as a joke. Her book says, by the time filming was to begin on Clambake (released 1967), Presley's growing distress with the quality of his films led to a despondency accompanied by overeating and his normal 170 pound (77 kg) ...

After the wedding ceremony Frank Sinatra's private jet flew them to their Palm Springs, California home. Like the romantic she claimed Elvis was, he carried his new bride across the threshold singing ...

Colonel Tom Parker: Encyclopedia II - Elvis Presley's Sun recordings - History

Elvis Presley's Sun recordings - Elvis and Sun Records. Presley's period with Sun is a clear unit: Elvis starts, shyly, singing and discovers his talents, both in the studio and on stage. The recordings are supervised by Sam Phillips, a very professional producer before this word was coined. The location is Memphis, a true melting pot of all sorts of music: both black music (blues, rhythm & blues, gospel) and white music (country & western, hillbilly). Colonel Tom Parker: Encyclopedia II - Colonel Tom Parker - Surviving Elvis

After Presley's death in 1977, Parker became embroiled in legal disputes with the singer's estate and with his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. Parker eventually agreed in 1983 to sell his masters of some of Presley's major recordings to RCA for $2 million and to drop any claims he had to Presley's estate. Parker moved to Las Vegas in 1980 and worked as an "entertainment adviser" for Hilton Hotels, but the disputes with the Presley estate didn't alienate him entirely from his most legendary client.
