Collective Consciousness

A selection of articles related to Collective Consciousness:

What raises us above other known sentient beings is our ability to be conscious of our own consciousness. But what does this mean, scientifically? : “It is now widely accepted that all knowledge, from the beginning of time, is available to each of us, an intelligence that is carried at the cellular, subatomic level. Highly evolved individuals who have touched the hem of the eternal and communed with the infinite through their higher consciousness, made that quantum leap but have been unable to transfer their understanding due to limitations imposed by language

The French social theorist Émile Durkheim (1858-1917) used the term collective consciousness in his The Rules of Sociological Method (1895), Suicide (1897), and The Elementary Forms of Religious Life (1912). According to Durkheim, individual desires are limitless and constrained only by external social forces. These and bounds constitute the collective consciousness, which is embodied in a culture's formal and informal norms and values

* The Morphogenetic fields explained by “The Hundredth Monkey”

The study of morphogenetic fields is an attempt to scientifically document and describe how the human consciousness is shared. The Morphogenetic fields also plays the main role in the idea that humanity at one point in time will go thru a dramatic collective shift in consciousness. It will happen when the critical mass for a shift is reached, or in other words, when a certain number of spiritually awakened individuals are reached.

The story “The Hundredth Monkey” gives an easily understood background to the theory of morphogenetic fields.

* What is Consciousness?

What raises us above other known sentient beings is our ability to be conscious of our own consciousness. But what does this mean, scientifically?

“It is now widely accepted that all knowledge, from the beginning of time, is available to each of us, an intelligence that is carried at the cellular, subatomic level. Highly evolved individuals who have touched the hem of the eternal and communed with the infinite through their higher consciousness, made that quantum leap but have been unable to transfer their understanding due to limitations imposed by language. Because language is incomplete and fragmentary, merely registering a stage in the average advance beyond the ape mentality. But all of us do have flashes of insight beyond meanings already stabilized in etymology and grammar.”

* The Group Mind Principle I

In short, the group mind principle of Nature states that the resulting force generated from the combining of like minds is geometrically greater than the sum of its parts. In other words, minds that are focused together upon a common theme create a mutual force that is not merely additive, but vastly more powerful than any one individual or group of individuals.

* The Group Mind Principle II

The number of similarities between the function of a two-way radio and the human body are quite surprising. The body/mind constantly emits all aspects of our internal state to the environment, and receives input from the world in the same manner.
In any discussion of group mind phenomena, it is impossible not to enter into the subject of psychic effect, as well as the principles of natural law such as resonance or vibration (feeling/frequency) that make it possible. Similarly, it is not possible to fully understand psychic effects without a minimum coverage of the energy or chi upon which it is based.

* The Power of your Thoughts

Our past thoughts have created our current reality, and we are each creating our futures with the thoughts we think right now, in the present moment. Michael Curley expands upon this philosophy and tell us more about the power of our thoughts to bring about change in our own lives and on a global, even cosmic level.

* New Age Spiritual Dictionary on Fifth kingdom

Fifth kingdom
(of Souls) A new state of collective consciousness not yet manifested, although the model has been created as a divine potential by the Masters. When enough humans can sustain the collective energy the initiation will be granted and a leap forward in consciousness will be gained by many now in preparation. (The other four kingdoms are the mineral, the plant, the animal, the human.)

Dear friends
I have had an overwhelming response from people to my article on Kalki and enlightenment, and I thought that rather than respond individually I would respond to some of these questions collectively in a stream of consciousness kind of way.

* Meditation, Feeling Awareness And Group Mind

The main reason modern people usually assume they have little to no psychic sensitivity is because they are not in touch with their feelings. The second most prevalent reason for this attitude is our training in the modern paradigm. Basically, the artificial values of materialism have replaced our natural human intuitiveness, sensitivity and psychic dynamism. For this reason among others, the diligent practice of meditation is strongly advised for every individual.

* Nationalism and patriotism

Politics and the concept of a global identity are two artificial constructs dominating our collective consciousness today.

A nationalist professes undying allegiance to his nation. Therefore he would find it impossible to love another nation or its nationalists.

Patriotism, on the other hand, is born of a deeper feeling of togetherness and bonding of a people in a particular civilisation/heritage. Hence a patriot would fully understand and appreciate similar sentiments in another pat-riot of a civilisation/heritage different from his own.

Our Collective Consciousness and True Leadership by Gita Saraydarian

“I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!” (MLK delivered 3 April 1968)

The Word As We Knew It

The internet and it’s unique ability to rapidly share information across the planet has created a sort of ‘hot-bed’- ; for the evolution of language. New phrases, words, acronyms and slangs have been given the ability to virally evolve and disseminate to new populations within a matter of days. Definitions are born, morph, and die based on the evolving collective consciousness of humanity.

We are a Collective Consciousness. Have You Agreed to Agree; or Have You Agreed to Disagree with this New Understanding?

During 2005, a new understanding was given to me by the collective consciousness (spirit). In short, the new understanding is that we are a collective; a collective of spirit/souls/cells who have perfected ourselves over millennia. With this perfection came boredom. To counter the boredom, we (as spirit) create illusions into which we place ourselves in order to have experiences. One such illusion is as man/woman.
