The original WABC-TV offices were located at 77 West 66th Street with studios at 7 West 66th Street. There was an underground tunnel that links ABC Studios at 7 West 66th Street to the lobby of the Hotel des Artistes a block north on West 67th Street. Circle 7 logo: Encyclopedia II - WWSB-TV - Changes

In 2002, the station changed logos, and changed studio locations to a studio in downtown Sarasota. Until March 2004, the station's news department operated under the brand "News 40." The brand was changed to ABC 7, because most viewers watch the station on Brighthouse Networks or Comcast Cable, and both providers carry WWSB on channel 7. The conversion to ABC 7 involved a redress of the station's news sets, a new logo (to an unique version of the well known Circle 7 logo) and color scheme, a new slogan ("Local news. Every day. The station first took to the air on October 15, 1965, under the callisign of WEMT-TV. The current call letters were adopted in 1978. WVII is the only television station in Bangor to have never switched its network affiliation. It is also one of only two stations in Bangor to broadcast in Stereo. In 2000 WVII made its first venture into UHF broadcasting, leasing channel 30, a former secondary PBS station. The station changed its call letters to WCKD and its network to UPN.
