| | | | | Charles Warren: Encyclopedia II - Charles Warren - Education and early military career Warren was born in Bangor, Caernarfonshire, Wales, the son of Major-General Sir Charles Warren. He was educated at Bridgnorth School and Wem Grammar School in Shropshire. He also attended Cheltenham College for one term in 1854, from which he went to the Royal Military College, Sandhurst and then the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich (1855–1857).
