Camden is a city located in Ouachita County, Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 13,154. The city is the county seat of Ouachita CountyGR6. In 1783, a French trader named Fabre settled on a bluff above the Ouachita River and called the settlement “Ecore Fabre” (Faber’s Bluff or the Hill of Faber).
