Cam'ron's frequently stalled fourth album, Purple Haze, was released on December 7, 2004. The follow-up from Cam'ron's group, The Diplomats, Diplomatic Immunity 2 was released on November 23, 2004. As of April 28, 2005, Cam'Ron left Roc-A-Fella Records and joined the Warner Music Group under the Asylum Records imprint. Although Cam'ron has a loyal fan base, many former admirers have left the camp due to his change in rap style after his reemergence in 2001. He can still create crafty lyrics, but sometimes his new style has come ...

CAM: Encyclopedia II - Single overhead cam - History

Single overhead cam - In America. While modern domestic manufacturers have only recently begun a large-scale implementation of overhead cam technology, it has been used in some domestic production vehicles intermittently at least since the 1960's, when Kaiser-Jeep produced the 230 cid "Tornado" SOHC inline six engine. In the 1970's, both General Motors and Ford produced SOHC inline four engines: the GM 2300 engine and the Ford "Pinto" engine, respectively. ...

CAM: Encyclopedia II - Luís de Camões - Critical Overview:

Camões had the ambition to rival the two greatest epic writers up to that time: Homer and Vergil. A few lines into Os Lusíadas Camões has the audacity to proclaim: "Let us hear no more then of Ulysses and Aeneas and their long journeying." The chief difference between Camões's epic and Homer's and Vergil's is that the Os Lusíadas is based on historically true events. The events which Homer's and Vergil's epics are based on are fictions, despite the contention of scholars who assert that there really was a Trojan War. In Camões's epic we sense an added aura of reality, of strangeness. This aura is quite i ...

CAM: Encyclopedia II - Complementary and alternative medicine - Contemporary use of alternative medicine

The popularity of CAM therapies is great. A survey released in May 2004 by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine focused on who used complementary and alternative medicine, what was used, and why it was used in the United States during 2002. According to this new survey, 36 percent of U.S. adults age 18 years and over use some form of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). CAM: Encyclopedia II - Double overhead cam - History

The first DOHC engines were 2-valve designs from companies like Fiat (1912), Peugeot (1913), Alfa Romeo (6C- 1925, 512 - 1940), Maserati (Tipo 26, 1926), and Bugatti (Type 51, 1931). Most Ferraris used 2-valve DOHC engines as well. When DOHC technology was introduced in mainstream vehicles, it was common for the technology to be heavily advertised. Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo can be credited with placing mass produced twin cam (DOHC) engines in coupés, sedans, convertibles, and station wagons beginning in the mid 1960s. Later, in the ...

Vitaly Abalakov's invention of the Abalakov Cam was the first application to climbing of the principle of a constant-angle curved surface, with a cam shape based on the mathematical logarithmic spiral. Designed so that a load produces a rotational force, the logarithmic cam shape allowed for a single device to fit in a range of crack sizes without a change in the loading pattern, making it predictable and stable. In 1973 Greg Lowe filed for a ...

CAM: Encyclopedia II - Luís de Camões - Lyric Poetry

Although Camões has primarily been recognized as an epic poet outside of Portugal and Brazil, he also left a large and impressive body of lyric poetry. His sonnets are classics of the portuguese language, and although sometimes repetitive in ideas, they exhibit enormous variety, from a breathtaking paraphrasis of Job ("That the day of my birth shall perish and decay") to laments about the disillusionment, the mutability, and the human weakness in the face of the great theatre of the world. Also worthy of mention are his poignant remembrances of his beloved Dinamene (Ti-Na-Men), his chinese l ...

CAM: Encyclopedia II - Computer representation of surfaces - CAD/CAM representation of a surface

CAD/CAM systems use primarily two types of surfaces: Regular (or canonical) surfaces include surfaces of revolution such as cylinders, cones, spheres, and tori, and ruled surfaces (linear in one direction) such as surfaces of extrusion. Freeform surfaces (usually NURBS) allow more complex shapes to be represented via freeform surface modeling. Other surface forms such as facet and voxel are also used in a few specific applications. ...
