 | | | Bliss: Para Vidya, Path To Eternal Bliss
Para vidya alone can show us the path to eternal bliss. Mundane knowledge, which produces 'intellectualism"cannot confer wisdom on us. Even the most amazing of scientific and technological advances have failed to bring lasting happiness in our lives. The exponential increase in knowledge has, surprisingly, led to more conflicts and destruction. Para vidya is transcendental knowledge, which leads to wisdom. Apara vidya or secular knowledge merely enhances our vision of the outer world. Wisdom is perennial while knowledge is mainly informative and therefore transient. The former is stable, the latter, subject to change.

 | | | Bliss: A
Recipe for Bliss We are unborn
and formless. Our true nature is everlasting consciousness, not form. We may
appear to be a solitary, physical being, mysteriously extracted from Spirit,
separate and vulnerable... but we are not what we "appear" to be. We
are visiting a world of form to make a discovery. We have come here to uncover
a mystery that has plagued our consciousness for a time that curiously predates
our present memory. We are here for a reason... to find out exactly who we
are... and to experience bliss.

 | | | Bliss: Reach Intellectual Bliss with Samta
The word God combines with the five material elements or tatvas to constitute the body, which is an equipment of action without cause. The inert material elements are imbued with the faculties of feeling, thought and action through the organs of the body. Consequently, assumption of doership, ego and duality arise in this state. This intellect tends to oscillate between sublime consciousness and materialism. This conflict, antar-dhvan , continues till the intellect settles down in a state of reintegration, which is samta in its unmodified source - utter sublime consciousness.

 | | | Bliss: Absolute Bliss, Within and Without
Nothing exists apart from the Absolute. Yet, the Absolute, being transcendent, does not suffer from the limitations of the sense-organs, of attributes, of time. It is imperceivable, eternally pure, unqualified and is bliss. By knowing the Absolute everything is known , and fear and delusion remain no more. The ultimate resting place exists in the Absolute. It is the knowledge of the Absolute that brings about the fulfilment of the nature of man, and the desire for the experience of Being is characterised by peace.

Theosophy
Occultism Mysticism Dictionary on Devachan
A
Theosophical definition of Devachan :
Devachan [Tibetan, bde-ba-can, pronounced de-wa-chen] A translation of the Sanskrit sukhavati, the "happy place" or god-land. It is the state between earth-lives into which the human entity, the human monad, enters and there rests in bliss and repose. When the second death after that of the physical body takes place - and there are many deaths, that is to say many changes of the vehicles of the ego - the higher part of the human entity withdraws into itself all that aspires towards it, and takes that "all" with it into the devachan; and the atman, with the buddhi and with the higher part of the manas, become thereupon the spiritual monad of man. Devachan as a state applies not to the highest or heavenly or divine monad, but only to the middle principles of man, to the personal ego or the personal soul in man, overshadowed by atma-buddhi. There are many degrees in devachan: the highest, the intermediate, and the lowest. Yet devachan is not a locality, it is a state, a state of the beings in that spiritual condition. Devachan is the fulfilling of all the unfulfilled spiritual hopes of the past incarnation, and an efflorescence of all the spiritual and intellectual yearnings of the past incarnation which in that past incarnation have not had an opportunity for fulfillment. It is a period of unspeakable bliss and peace for the human soul, until it has finished its rest time and stage of recuperation of its own energies. In the devachanic state, the reincarnating ego remains in the bosom of the monad (or of the monadic essence) in a state of the most perfect and utter bliss and peace, reviewing and constantly reviewing, and improving upon in its own blissful imagination, all the unfulfilled spiritual and intellectual possibilities of the life just closed that its naturally creative faculties automatically suggest to the devachanic entity. Man here is no longer a quaternary of substance-principles (for the second death has taken place), but is now reduced to the monad with the reincarnating ego sleeping in its bosom, and is therefore a spiritual triad. (See also Death, Reincarnating Ego)

 | | | Bliss: Vedic
Philosophy Ð The JivaThe Jiva or the
individual soul is enclosed within five sheaths (Kosas), which are like the
sheaths of an onion. The five sheaths are food-sheath (Annamaya Kosa), vital
sheath (Pranamaya Kosa), mental sheath (Manomaya Kosa), intellectual sheath
(Vijnanamaya Kosa) and the bliss-sheath (Anandamaya Kosa).

 | | | Bliss: The
Way of PainThe Way
of Pain
The Sanskrit
word saha means "to endure, to go patiently through
hardships without rebelling."1 The process
of disillusionment is an unquestionably painful process at times. Genuine
spiritual life has never been popular, and never will be, because most people
are unwilling to open to and accept pain.

 | | | Bliss: The Life of
Gautama BuddhaBuddha was born approximately 560 B.C. in
Northern India. Through his life, Buddha gave the concept of Nirvana
unprecedented exposure to a large portion of the Eastern world with his
achievement of and subsequent teachings about the state of enlightenment. The
attainment of Buddhahood or Nirvana is a central tenet of Buddhist teachings.
Within the realm of Christianity, the historical Christ echoed the same
teaching, though in a veiled form, by saying that the Kingdom of Heaven is
within us.

 | | | Bliss: An introduction to Ramakrishna ParamahamsaRamakrishna
Paramahamsa was one of the most remarkable Indian saints of recent history
(1836 -1886). He is chiefly known for his high attainments in approaching God
along many different paths. Most saints have one path, one line of attainment
in reaching the goal. Ramakrishna, however, explored each in its turn. He was a
lively and likeable human, and made a deep impression on all that came into his
sphere. He left behind innumerable devotees and helped many to follow the
ultimate goal in his footsteps.

 | | | Bliss: The Divine Music Within UsDivine music, when you experience it,
brings with it intense and lasting bliss. How can one who has heard this divine
melody describe it to one who has not? Anyone who attempts to describe it would
have to use pale analogies. If we think of the most beautiful music we have
ever heard in this world, it still does not compare with the music known as the
Voice of God.
The divine music is playing within us all
the time. We dont hear it because no one has shown us the way to listen to this
inner music.

 | | | Bliss: Addictive Love RelationshipsThere
are two fascinating qualities that can enter into our lives or the lives of
those we care for at any moment: love and addiction. At first these two may
appear to be strange bedfellows: love evokes pleasurable images of couples
passionately embracing or tenderly gazing into each others' eyes, while
addiction brings up a darker, grim, even desperate image of people struggling
against a part of themselves that is out of control. Yet at their core, both
have in common a profound spiritual yearning, the desire to transcend the self,
to experience powerful states of bliss and ecstasy and to merge with and feel a
part of something greater than oneself.
