Best Of Both Worlds: Encyclopedia II - The Best of Both Worlds TNG episode - Plot summary
The episode is set in late 2366. The stardates given during the episode are 43989.1 and 44001.4. The Borg set out to assimilate Earth and dispatch a Borg cube to perform the task. As the Cube journeys to Earth, it encounters the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D). During the encounter they kidnap Captain Picard to assimilate him. This assimilation, according to the Borg, allows for better communication with Earth, as well as a greater understanding of humans (however greater insight into the Borg's motives for capturing Picard will be ...

Best Of Both Worlds: Encyclopedia II - The Best of Both Worlds TNG episode - Criticism

One obvious question raised by the events of the episode is why, if one Borg Cube nearly assimilated Earth, its success was only narrowly averted through an inventive tactic, and weapons and tactics do not work more than once with the quickly-adaptive cybernetic beings, did the Collective simply not send another Cube, or perhaps a small number of them, to attempt to assimilate it again until six years later in Star Trek: First Contact, in which they again sent only one Cube. (Author Peter David addressed this point partially in his See also:

A World Championship(s) is any contest or series of contests (which may work alongside a ranking system) to determine the best nation, team, individual (or other entity) in the world in a particular field. Best Of Both Worlds: There's More to Life Than Striking Deals

If you really want the best deal in life, stop making deals. Yet, your very demeanour should be such that your client is simply bowled over. This is not a trick.

The deal will happen if it's necessary; it won't happen if it's not. It is for the well-being of both parties, so it must be needed by both of you. Once we're in this world, there are transactions, personal or otherwise.

Best Of Both Worlds: Encyclopedia II - R. Kelly - Biography

R. Kelly - Early Life. Born into poverty and distress in Chicago's projects, young Robert Kelly and his two brothers and sister and mother Joanne struggled. After a shooting by a mugger as a teenager, Kelly looked to basketball and music to get him away from the atmosphere. Guided by his teacher Lena McLin, Kelly entered a career in music after singing the classic ballad, "Ribbon in the Sky" at a talent show to his high school friends. See also:

Best Of Both Worlds: Encyclopedia II - List of best-selling music artists - World's biggest seller

The actual biggest selling musician in the world will probably never be known. Records of sales in many countries, particularly in the developing world, are poor and date back less than 20 years. ABBA, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Elvis Presley are all regularly cited as being the top seller. Record companies for The Beatles [1] and Elvis Presley[2] both claim that they have sold over one billion records, statistics that are supported by both the RIAA [3] and The Guinness Book Of World Records [4] [5] and numerous other sources. ...

Best Of Both Worlds: Encyclopedia - 1991 World Series

The 1991 World Series was played from October 19 to October 27 between the Minnesota Twins (95-67) of the American League and the Atlanta Braves (94-68) of the National League. The series was, in some respects, similar to the 1987 World Series also played by the Minnesota Twins (against the St. Louis Cardinals), most notably in that the home team won all seven games. Some consider the 1991 World Series to be the best ever played, with five of its games being decided by a single run and three games going into extra innings. Adding to the drama was the fact that, for the first time in Series history, both league c ...

Best Of Both Worlds: Encyclopedia - Centurion tank

The Centurion was the primary British Main Battle Tank of the immediate post-war era, and considered by many to be one of the best British tank designs of all time. Designed during the Second World War it served in Europe, but arrived just too late for combat. It went on to provide excellent service during the Korean War where it outperformed both US and Soviet designs by a wide margin. It would go on to be one of the most widely used tank designs, equipping armies around the world, with small numbers still in service until the 1990s. ...

Early in World War I, Napier were contracted to build engines from other companies designs: initially a V12 Royal Aircraft Factory model and then Sunbeam Arabs. Best Of Both Worlds: Encyclopedia II - Alternative 3 - Hoax

Perhaps the most persuasive evidence that Alternative 3 was an utter fiction comes from Nick Austin, who was editorial director of Sphere Books when Watkins' adaptation was commissioned and published. Austin writes that the book was the "best chance I’d ever be likely to get to participate in a hoax of truly Guy Grand proportions - the best thing of its kind since Orson Welles’ 'War of the Worlds' radio broadcast." Furthermore, Austin writes that he was both delighted and disturbed by the Alternative 3 controversy, and adds ...
