BAT: Dream Interpretations Dictionary - Bat, bats

Dream Interpretation Bat, bats

The bat is a symbol of the dark side of a dreamer's personality. Since the bat is hit by blindness, but has got a wonderful sense of direction, this dream may say to you that you are using more your intuition rather than logic, and you might be blind to some sort of things. But at the same time a bat is a symbol of a free will, freedom since it has wings! Seeing several bats means your worries about debts. Sometimes a bat can represent a black messenger betokening death, illness or a personal disaster. To interpret your dream, try to connect other elements in your dream with the bat symbol.

Bat

Most bats are nocturnal predators and just thinking about these mysterious creatures gives most people an uneasy feeling (unless you are a bat lover, which is rare). Bats may be considered mysterious and unpredictable. When you are interpreting this dream, look carefully at the details and your emotional reactions to the events in the dream. This dream may be related to discrete or covert behaviors. Your unconscious mind may be relating feelings to you in regard to behaviors which you or someone else prefers to keep a secret.

BAT: Encyclopedia II - Meat Loaf - Life after Bat Out of Hell

In 1980, Meat Loaf got back in the studio and started working on Dead Ringer. Steinman wrote all of the songs, but had nothing else to do with the album. At the time his agent, David Sonenberg, brought in Al Dellentash to help manage Meat Loaf's career. The tour they planned to support the album was cancelled after one show because they ran out of the money that the studio advanced them. Sonenberg and Dellentash also convinced Sony Records and CBS to advance more money for the making of Dead Ringer the movie. Dellentash and Son ...

BAT: Encyclopedia II - Batman - Powers and abilities

Unlike Superman and most other costumed heroes, Batman is a human being who does not possess any superhuman abilities. However, he has elevated himself to near-superhuman status through years of rigorous training. Physically he is at the peak of human ability in dozens of areas, most notably martial arts, acrobatics, bodybuilding, and escape artistry. Intellectually he is just as peerless, being at once one of the world's greatest scientists, criminologists, and tacticians, as well as a master of disguise. Given his lack of superpowers, he often uses cunning and planning to outwit his foes, rather than simply "out-fighting" them.

BAT: Mysticism Magick Dictionary on BAT

BAT

(See CHIROPS.) The bat is also the glyph of the pathway of the Hanged Man, and the totem of the Voodoo worshipers. In popular thinking it is the soul of the unenlightened, because it dwells in darkness and feeds indiscriminately on all life. In China, however, where many things are reversed, the word fu means either a bat or a blessing.

Since the bat sleeps upside-down he affords an important avenue to reversion of consciousness. (See VAMPIRE.)

Batman - Bruce Wayne. To the world at large, Bruce Wayne is an irresponsible, superficial playboy who lives off his family's personal fortune (amassed when Bruce's parents invested in Gotham real estate before the city was a bustling metropolis) and the profits of Wayne Enterprises, a major private technological firm that he has inherited. However, Wayne is also known for his contributions to charity, notably through the Wayne Foundation, a foundation devoted to helping the victims of crime and preventing people from turning to it. < ...

BAT: Encyclopedia - Batwoman

Batwoman, or (less commonly) Bat-Woman, is the name of a fictional character, the female counterpart to DC Comics' popular superhero Batman. She first appeared in Detective Comics #233 (July 1956). Batwoman's real name was "Kathy Kane". Batman co-creator Bob Kane later claimed that he created Batwoman, and indeed that he drew her to resemble his wife. The fact that Kathy Kane's name matches Bob Kane's supports his claim. On the other hand, in the 1950s Kane used "ghost pencillers" such as Sheldon Mold ...

BAT: Encyclopedia - Bill Finger

Bill Finger (February 8, 1914 - January 24, 1974) was an American writer who is best remembered (though never officially credited) as the co-creator of the character Batman with artist Bob Kane and creator of Catwoman. Finger and Kane began to collaborate in 1938. In early 1939, the success of Superman in Action Comics prompted editors at the comic book division of National Publications (later DC Comics, now a subsidiary of Time Warner) to request more superheroes for their titles. Some books and articles say that Kane s ...

BAT: The new kids

"One of the most amazing attributes of the new age is going to come right out the cribs of thousands of homes all over the world. The new children of the "indigo" color have arrived in mass and are already among us. Sometimes I think this is what has been predicted as "the mass landing"! I have also heard them called Children of the Blue Ray, the Blue Race, and Children of the Violet Flame." The article by Lee Carroll is taken from the Kryon Quarterly newsletter, Issue 6, 1997.

BAT: Encyclopedia II - Cricket - Laws of cricket

The game is played in accordance with 42 laws of cricket, which have been developed by the Marylebone Cricket Club in discussion with the main cricketing nations. Teams may agree to alter some of the rules for particular games. Other rules supplement the main laws and change them to deal with different circumstances. In particular, there are a number of modifications to the playing structure and fielding position rules that apply to one innings games that are restricted to a set number of fair deliveries. BAT: Not a Game - about the danger with Channeling Boards

The Ouija board has been used by thousands of people for spirit communication and is very similar to automatic writing, the only difference between the two being the absence of the board itself in automatic writing. Both forms of communication are very dangerous, as are sˇances, because they are usually uncontrolled forms of communication. In other words, the individuals that use these channels are usually novices and are unaware of the possible dangers that may await.

BAT: Encyclopedia II - Evidence of evolution - Evidence from geographical distribution

Biologists have discovered many puzzling facts about the presence of certain species on various continents and islands (biogeography). All organisms are adapted to their environment to a greater or lesser extent. If the abiotic and biotic factors within a habitat are capable of supporting a particular species in one geographic area, then one might assume that the same species would be found in a similar habitat in a similar geographic area, e.g. in Africa and South America. This is not the case. Plant and animal species are di ...

BAT: Encyclopedia - Cricket

Cricket is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. It is a bat-and-ball game played on a roughly elliptical grass field, in the centre of which is a hard, flat strip of ground some 22 yards long, called the pitch. At each end of the pitch stand a set of wooden poles called a wicket (traditionally made from the wood of the ash tree). A player from one team (the bowler) propels a hard, fist-sized ball from one wicket towards the other. A player from the opposing team (the batsman) attempts to defend the ball ...

BAT: Encyclopedia II - Softball - The field

The playing field is divided into fair territory and foul territory. Fair territory is further divided into the infield, the outfield, and the territory beyond the outfield fence. The field is defined by two baselines or foul lines that meet at a right angle at home plate. The minimum length of the baselines varies classification of play (see below for official measurements). A fence running between the baselines defines the limits of the field; this fence is equidistant from home plate at all points. Behind home plate is a backstop. It must be between 25 and 30 feet (7. ...

BAT: Encyclopedia II - Trinity Blood - Crusniks

The Crusniks (based on Krsnik) are vampires who feed on the blood of other vampires. They possess immense power and destructive potential, easily able to overwhelm even the most powerful of Methuselahs and with enough strength to raze a whole city. Their lifespan is longer than that of normal vampires. However, whereas normal vampires in this series are born or infected, Crusniks are a result of an experiment, "expendable goods for the Mars Colonization project", according to Abel. Cain states at one ...
