ZERO BALANCING ZERO BALANCING Zero balancing was developed by Fritz Smith, M.D., and has its roots in osteopathy, acupuncture, Rolfing, and meditation. Relaxing, yet energizing, zero balancing integrates fundamental principles of Western medicine with Eastern concepts of energy. This technique provides clients the possibility of healing by addressing the energy flow of the skeletal system. By working with bone energy, zero balancing seeks to correct imbalances between energy and structure, providing relief from pain, anxiety, and stress. A zero balancing session, which consists of gentle acupressure focusing on joints and bones, generally takes 30 to 40 minutes and is done through the client’s clothing while they lie on a massage table. For the massage therapist or bodyworker, zero balancing may enhance other modalities and open new avenues of energetic and structural balancing through touch. Social Studies Dictionary - Balance of Trade Definition and meaning of Balance of Trade Balance of Trade - [Economics] Nations seek to maintain a balance of trade with values of imports equal to exports. By balancing trade, a nation can protect the value of its currency on the international market. If a trade imbalance continues, with one country importing more than it is exporting, the value of its currency falls. In the 1980s the United States imported considerably more than it exported, and the foreign exchange market was glutted with dollars. As the value of the dollar fell, the prices of imports increased and consumers paid more for the goods. The imbalance can be corrected by limiting imports or increasing the number and/or quality of exports. Both of these actions affect trading partners which may retaliate by raising tariffs. Maintaining a balance of trade requires international cooperation and fair trade. Holistic Health
Dictionary I on ENERGY BALANCING ENERGY BALANCING Is the art and practice of realigning, balancing, and re-attuning the body’s electro-magnetic energy field, in relation with the subtle bodies. Everything in creation is energy, and we, as energy, relate to it harmoniously or inharmoniously depending upon the degree to which we are in a balanced state of harmony within ourselves. It is preferable to “flow” with these energies and enjoy the state of “synchronicity” described by Carl Jung. (See also: ENERGY BALANCING, Alternative Health, Holistic Health, Body Mind and Soul)
