The messengers of Lord Vishnu who take perfected devotees back to the spiritual world at the time of death.

Nivritti nivrtti (Sanskrit) [from ni back + the verbal root vrit to roll, turn, unfold]

Involution of matter and the consequent evolution of spirit, used to express the process by which matter rebecomes spirit, ascending along the luminous arc back to the spiritual worlds. It is the process of inwrapping or infolding of monads into matter, or of matter-lives back into the spiritual realms.

Pratisamchara pratisamcara (Sanskrit) [from prati-sam-char to move backwards together, return, dissolve, return to the originating source (prakriti or mulaprakriti) from the verbal root char to move]

Returning; philosophically, reabsorption or resolution back again into prakriti -- in this sense, a synonym of pralaya.

aswamedha yaga (Ashvamedha yaga). Horse sacrifice to absolve a king of all sins. A horse is marked with a victory card and allowed to roam about freely. If anyone stops the horse, the king should go and defeat him in battle and bring back the horse.

Pipal: Tree, considered sacred both to Hindus and Buddhists. It is also known as Bodhi tree because Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under this tree. It's a very big tree which has roots, which rise from the ground and then come back to the ground and appear to be additional trunks.

Tzyphon tsaphon (Hebrew) [from the verbal root tsaphan to conceal, hide, hold back, treasure]

The north or northern quarter, hence the north wind and, because the north was regarded among the ancients as a land of darkness and obscurity, this word came to mean whatever is hid or concealed, hence treasured up or held back. Thus it has come to signify among certain Shemitic mystics a doctrine which is concealed or secret -- esotericism.

Imbolg - Feb. 2

This was a celebration to lure back the Sun God to bring heat to our lands and speed up the coming of Spring. It is also known as Brigids Day to honor the Great Mother Goddess Brigid. She waits on this day as the bride of the youthful Sun God, who is soon to return to her. This was a day to honor the Goddess who turns back the wheel of the year to Spring. This is the fire festival, the mid-point of the dark half of the year.

Bamboo Books. Most ancient and certainly pre-historic works in Chinese containing the antediluvian records of the Annals of China. They were found in the tomb of King Seang of Wai, who died 295 B.C., and claim to go back many centuries.

Q - Letter Q._The seventeenth letter of the English Alphabet. It is the obsolete Eolian Qoppa and the Hebrew Koph. As a numeral it is 100, and its symbol is the back of the head from the ears to the neck. With the Eolian Occultists it stood for the symbol of differentiation.

Kurma

Lord Vishnu’s form as a huge tortoise, one of the dasha-avataras, the ten most famous incarnations of the Lord. The tortoise allowed the demigods and demons to use His back as a pivot for churning nectar from the Milk Ocean.
