Austin Idol graduated from Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida.
He started wrestling in 1972 and wrestled in the southeast promotions but never made it big in one of the national promotions. He had a long running feud with Jerry Lawler.
He retired in 1995. He was considered as one of the better wrestlers never to make it big.
