Apollo Apollo: Both a Greek god and a Roman god. Apollo was the God of the sun. Each day he rode his chariot led by fiery horses across the sky to give light to the world. He was the most beautiful god. Apollo is also the God of healing. of prophecy, of musical and artistic inspiration, and of archers. The Goddess Diana was his twin sister.
