Ansett Australia or Ansett was a major Australian domestic and international airline. The airline failed financially in 2001 and the majority of its assets have since been liquidated. Australian National Airways was the Australia's predominant carrier from the mid-1930s to the early 1950s. It was founded in 1932 by Victor and Ivan Holyman as Tasmanian Aerial Services.
