Akashic Records: Encyclopedia - Akashic Records

The Akashic Records (Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning "sky", "space" or "aether") are said to be a collection of mystical knowledge that is stored in the aether; i.e. on a non-physical plane of existence. The concept is common in some New Age religious groups. The Akashic Records are said to have existed since the beginning of Creation. Just as we have various specialty libraries (e.g., medical, law), there are said to exist various Akashic Records (e.g., human, animal, plant, mineral, etc). Most writings refer to the Akashic Records ...

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia II - Akashic Records - History of Akashic Records
Some who believe in the Records claim that they were used by ancient peoples around the world, including the Indians, Tibetans, Egyptians, Persians, Chaldeans, Greeks, Chinese, Hebrews, Christians, Druids, and Mayans. The belief is that the ancient Indian sages of the Himalayas knew that each soul recorded every moment of its existence in a "book", and that if one attuned oneself properly then one could read or view that book. In Egypt, it is said, those who could read the Akasha were held in high standing and were often found advising Phara ...

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia II - Akashic Records - Specific accounts of the Akashic Records

In Theosophy and the various New Age-related faiths, the Akashic Records are records of all knowledge, including all human experience down to the finest detail, held in the universe. The Akashic records resemble a library and are also compared to a universal computer (some would say the 'Mind of God'). The Akashic Records are referred to by Edgar Cayce, who stated that each person is held to account after life and 'confronted' with their personal Akashic record of what they have/not done in life in a karmic sense. This is not h ...

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia - Prophecy

Prophecy, in a broad sense, is the prediction of future events. The etymology of the word is ultimately Greek, from pro- "before" plus the root of phanai "speak", i. e. "speaking before" or "foretelling", but prophecy often implies the involvement of supernatural phenomena, whether it is communication with a deity, the reading of magical signs, or astrology. It is also used as a ...

AKASHIC RECORDS: In the early part of this century the famed psychic Edgar Cayce brought to general society the thought form of Akashic records. Supposedly, there is a giant data base somewhere that can be accessed for information on subjects such as past lives, healing, and other magickal/spiritual practices. This record system cannot be accessed by material equipment, such as PC networking with a larger computer. In this case, the mind of the psychic or Witch accesses the data through Universal Connections.

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia - Akasha

Akasha is the Hindi/Sanskrit word meaning "aether" in both it's elemental and mythological senses. In Hinduism it is one of the Panchamahabhuta, or "five great elements." In paganism and Wicca, it is the unifying energy inherent in every living creature on the planet, and in all four elements (earth, air, water, and fire) in nature. On the pentagram, akasha is assigned to the fifth top point, and the "other" element. Essentially it is spirit: and soul, the all-encompassing spirit energy of the Goddess and God. ...

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia II - Morphogenetic field - Research background

British biologist Rupert Sheldrake posited a theory of morphogenetic fields that has become well-known for the criticism and skepticism directed towards it by prominent members of the scientific community. Sheldrake trained as a plant physiologist and became interested in the way that living things took on their form. In particular, he was interested in how what began as a single cell that split into identical copies eventually changed to take on s ...

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia II - Prophecy - History of prophecy

The earliest manifestations of prophecy were most often found in the form of magical spells and folk charms. In modern times, astrology and other pseudoscientific techniques have gained wide acceptance. Prophecies are often based on divination, or determining the will of gods or other supernatural entities. Many methods are used to achieve this, including reading tea leaves, cloud formations, animal behav ...

Akashic Records: New Age Spirituality Dictionary on Akashic Records

Akashic Records

Edgar Cayce's concept which states that somewhere there is a universal hall of data about past lives, magic, healing, and spirituality. It does not exist on the physical plane but rather on a more psychic level.

Some believe it can be accessed on the astral plane, others feel it can only be accessed through a visualization journey in the mind.

The akashic records can be reached with emotional clairvoyance. They do not contain the past of the planet, but what people in all times have believed about this past. The real akasha, the akasha of the planetary hierarchy, is on a higher level

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia II - Morphogenetic field - Evidence

Sheldrake first published his ideas in 1973, offering a selection of seemingly disconnected bits of evidence in support. One was the research of Harvard University researcher William McDougall, who, in the 1920s, studied the abilities of rats to correctly solve mazes. He found that children of rats that had learned the maze were able to run it faster. The first rats would get it wrong 165 times before being able to run it perfectly each time, but after a few generations it was down to 20. McDougall attributed this was due to some sort ...

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia II - Morphogenetic field - Critical reception

The reception of the scientific community to Sheldrake's theories was critical. "Theories of everything" are generally greeted with skepticism, particularly if they are written in layman's language and not published in peer-reviewed journals, and even more so if the author claims insight into fields that they have no direct experience in. A New Science of Life was all three, and thus generally dismissed out of hand. Sheldrake seems to have become increasingly disenchanted with the science world's reaction. On his we ...

Akashic Records: Holistic Health Dictionary I on AKASHIC RECORDS

AKASHIC RECORDS

Akasha is Sanskrit for ether, and it is within this Etheric state of being that the records of everything that has been, is, and the future (the potential thereof) are recorded.

The Akashic Records can be accessed by those who are either trained, or have a natural affinity, and have universal permission to do so. These readers are able to provide you with information that will assist you with unresolved issues of the past, and past lives, and also with issues you are presently occupied with.

The future, as well as the present, and past can be altered by your choice of intent, and free will. Time is a continuum, which is illusory in its artificial nature. Understanding this will enable you to change your reality on this continuum by enlightened intent. Therefore, the information contained in these sacred records can be of invaluable assistance in your own growth of consciousness.

Akashic Records: Encyclopedia II - Morphogenetic field - Continuing experiments

As he moved away from interest in mainstream institutions, he proposed a list of Seven Experiments That Could Change The World (1994), which included, among other things, the seed of his study of Dogs that Know When Their Owners are Coming Home (1999). In 2003 he published The Sense of Being Stared At, about a sense reported widely by a great many people. This included an experiment where people were blindfolded and having other people behind them either stare at them or at another target; the object beings stared ...
