 | | | Ajna: Visions of Lights in MeditationVisions of Lights in Meditation Various kinds of lights manifest during meditation owing to concentration. In the beginning, a bright, white light, the size of a pin's point will appear in the forehead in Trikuti which corresponds tentatively to the Ajna Chakra of the astral body. When the eyes are closed, you will notice different colored lights such as white, yellow, red, smoky, blue, green, mixed color, flashes like lightning, like fire, burning charcoal, fire-flies, the moon, the sun and stars. These lights appear in the mental space, Chidakasha. These are all Tanmatric lights. Read more here: » Mystical Experiences: Visions of Lights in Meditation |

 | | | Ajna: The Colour Indigo The tertiary colour Indigo is manifest at the convergence of Violet and Blue within the Light Spectrum. Indigo is the colour of the 6th chakra - often referred to as the Ajna Chakra or "Third Eye" - partly because of its position over the Pineal Gland and between the brows, and partly because of it's association to paranormal "vision" - seeing beyond the capability of the eyes. Whereas Blue is the colour of transition - "the door to the other side" - Indigo, is the "other side". It is the colour of "synthesis"-which is the act of assembling "seemingly" separate - unrelated criteria into a complete or whole understanding. This translates through the human consciousness as KNOWING - but not knowing how you know. | | | Ajna: The Gradational Ascent Of The MindThe Chakras are centres of Shakti as vital force-in other words, these are centres of Pranashakti manifested by Pranavayu in the living body, the presiding Devatas of which are the names for the Universal Consciousness as it manifests in the form of these centres. The Chakras are not perceptible in the gross senses. Even if they were perceptible in the living body which they help to organise they disappear with the disintegration of organism at death. From "Kundalini Yoga" by Sri Swami Sivananda Read more here: » Chakras: The Gradational Ascent Of The Mind |
