About: Encyclopedia II - The Hype about Hydrogen - Chapter 5 Key Elements of a Hydrogen-Based Transportation System

The book estimates the hydrogen fueling infrastructure could cost half a trillion U.S. dollars. Liquefying which would require 40% of the energy content of the hydrogen. Liquid hydrogen would evaporate at the rate of 4%/day. Just generating the electricity to liquify 1 kg of hydrogen would release 8 to 9.5 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere. About: Encyclopedia II - Molvanîa - About Molvanîa

The Republic of Molvanîa is a composite of many stereotypes and cliches about Eastern Europe. Historically, the nation was a desolate wasteland, torn by civil war and ethnic unrest. Eventually Molvanîa's various warring factions were united as a single kingdom, ruled by a series of cruel despotic kings. In the late 19th Century the monarchy was overthrown, but the royal family remained popular in exile. During World War 2 the country was invaded by Nazi Germany, and then afterwards was occupied by the Soviet Union who set up ...

Currently (as of 2004), the Habilitation is subject of a major political debate in Germany. About: Encyclopedia II - WE3 - About the series

WE3 was nearly unanimously praised by critics, who particularly celebrated Quitely's experimentation with panel layout and page design. For example, Quitely's action scenes often depicted a large primary image overlaid with dozens of tiny panels showing extreme close-ups of individual actions. Morrison's characterization (the title characters are sympathetic, despite their limited communicative abilities) and pro-animal rights stance also attracted praise. Originally released as a three issue mini seres, ...

About: Encyclopedia II - 22 Short Films About Springfield - The Tarantino connection

The episode contains numerous references to Pulp Fiction. Like the film, the episode's plot is episodic though interconnected. Apu's brother Sanjay makes a square with his fingers, like Uma Thurman. The policemen's conversation about McDonalds parallels the famous "Royale With Cheese" discussion; the Krustyburger restaurant it takes place in also bears a striking resembalance to the diner Pumpkin and Honey Bunny attempt to rob in the film. The subplot involving Chief Wiggum and Snake is a direct parody of the "Gold Watch" segment of t ...

About: Encyclopedia II - Allegations about the Fiji coup of 2000 - Police response

On 27 September, Commissioner of Police Andrew Hughes emphatically rejected FLP Leader Mahendra Chaudhry's suggestion that the police were not serious in their investigation of coup-related offenses, particularly those related to the Navakasuasua allegations. He said that Chaudhry's comments, which he supposed to be an election ploy, were "totally misleading." He did, however, follow that statement up on 30 September with an announcement that a new management team had been formed to reassess all evidence related to the pending investigations. The next day, he said t ...
