Kevin Harvick - Interesting Facts

Kevin has recently been doing voice over work starring as himself in the web-based animated racing series The Kellys.

Harvick is among an elite group of drivers to have won a race in all three of NASCAR's premier racing series: Truck, Busch and Cup, and has won races as an owner in Busch and Cup, with a win in each series in 2005.

Harvick finished third in the most popular driver voting in 2004, behind only Jeff Gordon and winner Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Harvick was the cover driver for Electronic Arts' video game "NASCAR 2005:Chase for the Cup".

He is sometimes known as "Happy Harvick" and "Harvey." To his critics he is the "Bakersfield Basher."

He became the first driver to win Rookie of the Year in the NASCAR Nextel Cup series and win the Busch Series title in the same year.

Won in his third start in the Nextel Cup series at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Harvick still races in the Busch Series and occasionally in the Craftsman Truck series, helping in the 2003 Owner's Championship in the Busch Series in a combined effort with Johnny Sauter in Childress' Reese's #21.

Both Kevin and Delana are from racing backgrounds. Delana's father John Linville was a short-track driver in North Carolina who also raced in the Busch Series in the 1980's. Some of Sarah Fisher's NASCAR regional races have been run in cars co-owned by Harvick and Linville.
