Detroit Red Wings - 2005-06 Season

The Red Wings are on a record setting start to the 2005-2006 season. They are currently tied for first in the Central Division with a 32-13-4 record and have 63 points as of January 24, 2006. (NHL Standings.) Manny Legace started his own legacy in October. With Osgood out, Legace became the starter and set an NHL record with most wins, 10, in the month of October. The Red Wings went on to have a very impressive 11-1-0 record in October. The Red Wings tied a league record with the most points after 14 games, 25 points. They also tied their franchise's record with most consecutive wins, 9.
