Dark Ages computer game - Peasant
The Peasant is what you are before you are anything. The Peasant is the newborn Aisling, who must learn his way. Peasants can use only the most rudimentary devices, and they learn only the most basic of skills. When a Peasant is ready to accept a class, they must find a member of that class of the 11th insight ("insight" = "level") to guide the Peasant into that class. Certain members of the Dark Ages community have achieved renown by never choosing a class, and reaching level 99 as a Peasant. In honor of these Peasants, Peasant Day is celebrated each year.
Dark Ages computer game - Warrior
Your typical basher class. Warriors can wield swords and axes, and also have the most armor available to them out of all the classes. They have very few spells, but have a TON of skills. They have many attack abilities, as well as some others that let them make an enemy attack them and other such defense abilities. They also have the ability to stun enemies.
Dark Ages computer game - Monk
The Monk is a cross fighter/magic user. He is a martial artist, and uses punches and kicks to attack his enemy. He also has some magic, such as curing poison and blindness. Monks may also obtain "Dugons," which are colored ranks. Each rank gives a colored headband with certain stat improvements, as well as granting one or two skills. In order for monks to learn some of the higher level dugons, they must have been the teacher, or "sabonim" of a certain number of dugons themselves. This teaching can become difficult due to the comparatively small pool of available Hubae ("students"). This problem has sparked a market of buying Hubae, where a person will create a character for the sole purpose of selling it to a higher Monk for teaching a Dugon to. This market is very controversial, with one side claiming it a legitimate money-making endeavor, and the other claiming is a breach of roleplay and the Sabonim-Hubae link. Monks can also gain an Animal Form, which grants three specific skills/spells based on the Form. These Forms are:
+3Str, -2Int, -2Wis
This form is probably the second most common of the four forms. It is mainly used by arena goers since Kelberoth Strike hits through dion.
- Kelberoth Stance - Increases Strength by +3 similar to creag neart and Cean Entreat
- Kelberoth Strike - Does damage at cost of health and ignores dion
- Roar - Stuns all enemies around you
-1Int, -1Wis, +3Con, -3Dex
This form is the most common ingame since it all of it skills have some use will hunitng
- Draco Stance - Temporary Invulnerability if used with Dion it makes an istant Dion
- Draco Tail Kick - Hit enemies on all sides of you this one of the stronger monk kicks
- Snort - A very quick taunting spell but pretty useles since it fails a lot
-2Str, +3Int, -2Con, +1Dex
- White Bat Stance - Temporary Invisibility similar to a Rogues hide ability
- Dark Spear - Blind an enemy similar to dall
- Echo Sense - Gives you data about an enemy similar to Martial Awareness and Study Creature

- Scorpion Stance - Increases armor temporarily
- Scorpion Sting - Poison an enemy
- Trance - Hypnotize an enemy
Dark Ages computer game - Priest
Priests are your typical healer class, with some add-ons. They can heal, increase their allies' defense, and cure status effects, obviously, but can also poison, curse, and put enemies to sleep. Priests also lead the religions. They use Holy Staves that lower the casting times on their spells.
Dark Ages computer game - Wizard
Wizards use elemental magic to hurt enemies. Their most powerful spells can be of any element and hit every enemy they see. Wizards use Magus Staves to lower their casting times. They can also improve items with magical enchantments. Another of their most useful abilities is a spell which can be casted on monsters and players to improve or weaken their defences, depending on the elements involved.
Dark Ages computer game - Rogue
Rogues are kind of a basher/trickster class. They can lay traps along the ground that will either harm an enemy or give a certain status effect. Rogues also get some powerful bashing skills later on, but not so much as to equal warriors or monks, including two powerful stab skills. Pure rogues gain a skill called Shadow Figure, which does damage equal to another assail, and warps you to the target's other side. It also has no cooldown. By utilizing Shadow Figure, assails, and more powerful weapons and armor, a well-played Pure Rogue can actually surpass a Monk/Rogue in bashing strength. Rogues also have the ability to become invisible, study monsters to reveal their elemental strengths and weaknesses to their hunting group, and do useful things such as tailor clothes and smith weapons. In the arena, Rogues are often considered an inferior path for several reasons. One reason for this is the use of Sleep Traps, a skill generally considered cheap. Because Rogues are often given limitations on what they may or may not utilize, they are often either crippled or hunted quickly, depending on whether they follow these limitations or not.
