XX: Introduced in the 1890's as the beer of the 20th century. Superior: Meant to be the "Superior" beer. Carta Blanca: The brewery's orginal premium beer. Carta Blanca means "white letter (or card)" which was given to people as means of respect. Carta Blanca beer is meant as a token of thanks and respect to customers. Sol: Introduced in the 1890's, orginally called El Sol. The logo and presentation has not been changed. Tecate: Beer from the city of Tecate. Indio: The beer was orginally named something else however since many could not read in Mexico at the turn of the 20th century many people who asked for the beer simply asked for an "Indio" because of the picture of the Indian on the clay bottle.
In 1943, company executive Eugenio Garza Sada founded the ITESM, and in 1973, the Mexican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame was opened at the site of the company headquarters.
