Whitefield, India

Whitefield is a town near Bangalore in India. It is known for Sathya Sai Baba's ashram called Brindavan. The small village which was a retirement colony for Anglo-Indians has now become a major hub for the IT industry.

The IT Industry has now colonized whitefield. The Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) now boasts of one of the country's first information technology parks - The International Tech Park Limited, ( ITPL). The EPIP zone also contains other IT and R&D giants like the John F. Welcch Technology Centre, Wipro-GE Medical Systems, HCL-Perot, SAP Labs and Dell etc.
