Venus Transit: The Divine Awakening of the Heart

This is the Tamil title of a famous 18 th century essay from the Advaita Vedanta written by an Indian spiritual guide who could have been also a soufi as all the Indian words are acceptable for them.

Indeed the most significant sentence of Islam sets forth that same evidence: There is no reality but that of God the Unique, La ilaha illa llah.

All religions do express this evidence and wish they could achieve it. Further more all creatures can be seen as a living proof of it since they originate from the same source. Everything is oneness. The illusion of separation is due to the receeding process of Oneness which creates complexity proportionaly to the multiplicity of numbers consequently Human beings whose number keeps on increasing day after day suffer from this collective ignorance of the separating process.

But fortunately some cycle procedures of reversion to original consciousness of Oneness seem to have been planned in the cosmos to help all humanity. The cosmic event of Venus’s transit from June, 8th 2004 to 6th June 2012 must be apprehended in this perspective and be associated with an understanding consideration of Oneness.

The course of the planets are not to be regarded as the causes of events since the planets themselves are a part of the holy plan and their power turns to pure nothingness unless the Divine Spirit controlls their route. Venus seems nevertheless different and has got a peculiar connotation as it symbolizes the Presence of “the spiritual centre Shambhala”, the very core of mankind from where all spiritual tendencies originate and return.

It is like a human heart filtering and regenerating blood in the body. This “spiritual centre” like the heart is the support and the agent of the reversion to Oneness. To understand that, let us take account of a very universal legend from china, India, Islamic country and Russia, mentioning “the mysterious kingdom of Shambhala” founded by Sanat Kumara, the silent vigilman and by the “Knights of Venus”.

These ones emerging from their original living place have left Venus to settle in the white island in the middle of desert. In the “Puranas” Venus called “shoukra” is mentionned as an instructor full of wisdom. Other Indian Legends refer to the earth as Venus’s adopted daughter. Couldn’t Venus’s travel be interpreted as the presence of the “Knights of Venus” revealving itself more openly to the world.

The Islamic tradition and even chap 18 in the Coran makes a hint at this secret kingdom and mentions it as the place where the “people in the Cave”, live those virgilsmen who visit the great mystics only. The great Soufi Cheick Muhhy-Din Ibn’Arabi spoke about his meeting with them and says its inhabitants are extremely tall and that they are preparing the coming back of the golden age in that hidden place.

When the time had come for manking to enter this golden age then they will join and participate to the mutation of the world. The great christian diviner Saint Anne Catherine Emerich who gave so many details about Jesus’life describes the same centre what she has seen as the “prophets’mountain”. The third Panchem Lama has also depicted this kingdom in his book “the shambhala lam rim” while the famous Indian legend “Mahabarata” refers to an extraordinary land “Uttarakuru” the Northern Kuru that no human eye can see.

All the traditions agree and predict that at a very precise moment in the cycle of time peoples living in the secret place “the knights of venus” will join and participate openly to the revival of this golden age. As this event is far more important on the spiritual level than on any others, those considerations should give us a clear understanding of Venus’transit through space comparing with the scientists’and astronomers’considerations of the consequences on our planet.

In his masterly book the “Futuhat al Makkiya” (Mecca Enlightments) the great Soufi Ibn ‘Arabi writes about the period when the “original worship”, “ad din al mukhliss”will be restored. This restoration will be supported by the “Mahdi”, a saint who will place the awareness of this universal restoration far beyong all other particular theologies.

His companions will have all authority over the six directions of space (the west, the East, the North, The South, Zenith and Nadir, which one symbolize origin of the six principal religion of humanity). They will be the poles (spiritual centres) and leaders of a great number of saints (maybe 1000 or10000 saints in each direction).

And then all the bygone traditions and memories will be revived and the spiritual abilities revealed as well as all the treasures of the earth. They will prepare Jesus’s glorious resurrection as a seal of total holiness inviting human beings to becomes aware of this universal conscience corresponding to the Indian consciousness of Kalki.

Religions will be restored in an essential and universal dimension according to the golden origin. They won’t disappear as it has been misinterpreted. It is before Babel’s time when people used to speak but one language the “lû’a Suryaniya”, the “solar language”, the language of the heart that all men could understand.

One language is the same idea that one religion with the meaning : the eternal worship. In the Coran the “Din al qayyim” is mentioned as the “eternal worship” which is the origin of all kinds of worshipping. This is the exat repliqua of what India calls “Sanatana dharma” the eternal divine law beyond and in the centre of all religions. In the Iron age, men as they were initiated were given some virtual blessings they had to nourish and fructify thanks to long and difficult exercises;

In the golden age the initiation becomes immediately effective. Men will achieve what the soufis call the “Fath Rabani”, “the Divine Awakening” , the total enlightenment when the body is all eye looking at the real essence of everything. This will be identified as an immediate consequence of the going back to Oneness which means the end of a cycle as well as the beginnig of another one.

In India, the notions of kalpa and manvanra the different cosmic cycles make this cyclic dimension evident: Venus’s transit as a symbol of a new cycle will make us become aware of “oneness”. We hope that It will come down on to the earth as a Spirit to revive men’s heart.
