The Dalton School - The Interscholastic Competition
The Dalton School is a part of the Ivy Preparatory School League in athletics. Some teams, such as varsity football, participate in different athletic conferences. Dalton offers 22 varsity teams and nine junior varsity teams in the high school athletics program. The school colors are white and blue, and the team name is the Tigers.
In addition to athletics, the Dalton School is home to a Model United Nations (MUN) team. The team attends college conferences every year, including those at Princeton and Johns Hopkins. In recent years, the MUN team has become one of the premier teams in the country. At Its most recent conference, the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference in January of 2006, the team finished in second place, capturing 14 awards, including 4 "Best Delegates," out of a possible 19 awards.
