Bankotsu or Gohyakumine Bankotsu-to, is a tengu who is a criminal in his own dimension; he murdered Kuramasan Maouson - the leader of the tengu and fearing punishment for his crimes, (and subsequently breaking Tengu rules) escaped to the Human world. Considering all hopes and struggles of the human world to be insignificant, he was determined to bring disaster and evil to the human dimension, covering it in chaos. All the disasters that he caused in the course of the years were referred to "Disaster at the End of the Century". Eventually, the super-ninja Ryu Hayabusa found out his doings, and nearing the climax of the second DOA tournament, killed him.
