Quickstrike - Beast Wars

The name was first used in the Beast Wars Transformers series, for a Predacon introduced in the second season of the cartoon. Originally a Maximal protoform, Quickstrike's Statis Pod was badly damaged when landing on Earth. Both his and Silverbolt's DNA scanners malfunctioned (resulting in the creation of a scorpion/cobra hybrid as his beast mode) and his memory was lost. It was Quickstrike's aggressive urge to fight, combined with Megatron's coaxing, which led him to join the Predacons.

Quickstrike is typecast as a "Western" warrior. He uses stereotypical cowboy slang terms (like "Howdy" and "Hombre"), and a brief guitar riff (similar to those in old John Wayne movies) can be heard whenever he goes into battle. In the Japanese version, his cobra arm/tail/'pet' tends to chant "cobra, cobra".

Quickstrike fell in love with fellow Predacon Blackarachnia (whom he called "Sugar-Bot"), who manipulated him into various tasks with her charms until she joined the Maximals. Quickstrike met his end when he was caught in the Nemesis' line of fire.

He was voiced by Colin Murdock (US) and Nobuo Tobita (Japan).
